Mass Produced Quebeley Questions?

So the suits seem to have an inconsistent Color Scheme. We first see them as grey and white, then black and red in the next episode. Were all the early suits destroyed and the new units the second batch? Or did they repaint them for some reason(or maybe it was a continuity goof). Also (SPOILER) the unit Martha Vist Carbine use on Ple Twelve is painted to look like Elpeo's Unit (Blue and Purple), so what is the correct color?

The trial production lot were painted grey, while all later units were given a paintjob more reminiscent of the Quebley Mark II.
