Special Ops MS

So what exactly categorizes a MS as Special Ops(It's a rare category of Mobile Suit that only seems to be in Gundam Unicorn)? Does it have different weapons, or better armor? Or is it more like an advance Reconnaissance unit?

That's a question with no specific answer, because that is an umbrella term.

In short, the only qualification for a Mobile Suit being a Special Forces MS is that its specs and/or tuning were adjusted to meet the operational needs of a particular Special Forces group or unit.

Because Special Forces is itself an umbrella term for an incredibly diverse array of operational profiles, there is no one set of specific and measurable traits that could be used to distinguish a MS made for a Special Forces unit except that they are typically higher performance than the standard in some, but not always every, way.

That reminds me of how in real life, the armed forces used the term "special" to mean anything unusual or out of the ordinary.
