Just curious as I found some copies for sale for $35 US (+ $20 US for shipping to Canada) & i want to make i''m not paying too much as many listings i see are over $100 US (& that is before accounting for Canadian shipping). The reason i'm buying the 90's translation is because i can't find the omnibus for sale anywhere that isn't also charging $120 US (& that is before accounting for Canadian shipping) I thank you very much in advance as I rarely sign out of forums when i leave to read other forums
P.S. I am aware that Zak = Zaku, Sha = Char, & Duchy of Jion = Principality of Zeon in the 90s translation
How much is the complete set of the 90s Gundam Novel Translation worth?

Looking at the eBay listings for individual volumes of the 1990 Frederik Schodt translation, they seem to average about $30 a volume (shipping not included).MinmayMusicManiac wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 7:30 pm Just curious as I found some copies for sale for $35 US (+ $20 US for shipping to Canada) & i want to make i''m not paying too much as many listings i see are over $100 US (& that is before accounting for Canadian shipping). The cheapest one I've found is $13.19 for Volume II. Volume II seems to be the cheapest, averaging about $19-20 + shipping. Volume I seems to run around $22-30 + shipping. Volume III seems to be the most expensive of the lot, with the few copies on offer running anywhere from $40-64. Looks like you can probably save about $40 or so by buying the volumes individually instead of going for all three as a lot.
EDIT: I am unaccountably amused that the Japanese edition, with shipping, is somehow cheaper than the old English translation.

If the $55 you're paying covers the full trilogy, then you're getting a pretty sweet deal, especially when you consider that most listings these days are going for over $100 even before shipping. Slope Game
