So is there any information out there on who did the mech designs for the Netflix movie Atlas? The designs look a lot like the designs of the AMP Suits from Avatar.
There doesn't seem to be a person credited with the mech designs, however they list "Concept Artists", so it seems like on of them designed the units ( and some concept artists worked on both this and Avatar).

Re: Atlas 2024 Mech Designs?
Having a separate and individual "mechanical design" credit is a very Japanese touch...
Western media generally credits the concept artist and then the outsourced studio that produced the practical/digital effects pieces separately.
Given that Atlas (2024) seems to be a massive turd that's being ripped to pieces by critics and regular viewers alike, it's doubtful anyone's going to do a deep dive into who came up with what. There are eight separate companies credited with visual effects work.

I have watched most of Atlas; the story is definitely cliche, but it's still a lot of fun to watch, plus the special effects are great.
Agreed with the second point, mechanical design isn't really a thing in Hollywood that's credited separately.
It seems like Joseph Hiura might be the one who worked on the mechs itself (which would explain why they look similar to the Avatar mechs).
