For the new Characters
There's Agnes Giebenrath voiced by series regular Houko Kuwashima, who appears to be a new pilot.
Toyah Mashima - A young Orb member , who may be a figurehead
Alexei Konoe - a ZAFT Captain
Albert Heinlein - Its not clear from the character image what his position is.
Also theres now a Blue Birdy varaint.

Albert Heinlein seems to be voiced by Jun Fukuyama

Totally, especially given how CE so often gives new suits to every major character (seriously there are 11 Gundams in Gundam SEED and 10 in Destiny, 4 in Stargazer, and since the Astray has an animated short, that's 28 official Gundams in this verse).
That being said we have yet to see any of the main characters units, so there will probably be new units in this case.
You know... It would be incredible if the first time we see Kira, he introduce himself in detail, trying to tell his opponents that he just want a quiet life (and to subtlely confirm us that yes, this is Kira).
It will be interesting to see how Shinn handles working alongside Mu after all that's happened, it seems odd the movies would just ignore it.

Mu was amnesiac whilst in his Neo persona. However look no further than Captain America Civil War to see how forgiving somebody victimized by an amnesiac is. Never mind Shinn's own trauma. That being said Shinn is supposed to have grown from his experiences in the last war, so maybe he'll end up going the same way as Waltfeld did with Kira

That is interesting isn't it? I would have guessed they picked MS for the movie based on fan favorites and what sold well. But I'd be surprised if all the Zaku / Gouf of GSD didn't sell well.
Totally , while the designs of the Zaku/Gouf are (deliberately) derivative, they are also very well designed and are a neat update.
I do wonder if we'll see something of a new version of these units? We have only seen some scenes from the trailer, so maybe their saving some stuff to announce later?
Back to the storyline, is anyone else seeing a bit of similarities to Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection? Spoiler
The whole characters going to a Kingdom with a young ruler(though whether it's an Earth Kingdom or a Space one is unclear) seems rather familiar, plus both are made by Sunrise.
Someone made a comparison image of the CE Black Tri-Star between their Destiny and Freedom version. Interesting enough, it's clear that everyone is shrinking from neck down while their heads remain the same.
So I guess the plot will be about some body horror pandemic, possibly tribute to shrinking human disease from Ozamu's Black Jack. That would be infinitely awesome!
Totally, It's also a bit odd because Hirai didn't actually do the designs for Buddy Complex. They were done by Asako Inayoshi and Tomoshige Inayoshi who I wish would do more Sunrise shows because their designs are really nice.
Now looking forward to Shinn whacking someone with a sword (and maybe failing miserably). I wish Hirai would stop with all the pouty bee-stung lips, though.
The lips are a bit odd as it makes it look like the female characters are always wearing lipstick (which given how many of them are soldiers seems unlikely).
This has been brought up before, but I do wonder if there will be more use of Cloning in the movie as there are several new characters that resemble those of the current main cast.
The theme song is spooky, I wonder why birdy is now blue, apparently blue cosmos is in the film which makes sense as they were only hinted at in the past two series as a faction who developed the extendeds, I hope we get more backstory on them. I wish the trailer was longer cause it doesn't tell you the plot much. With Fukuda on a new project this could be the end of animated CE. Unless they came back with a new cast but CE made there timeline short, no big timeskips like UC did. I'm glad this will have destinys plotlines that weren't explored such as the destiny plan, Durandel presence. Also it's like Gundam X newtype connection, parallel. Coordinators aren't the next evolution on humans. I think the movie will give Shinn some time to shine, Destiny after Shinn destroys Freedom and beats athrun and the final plus felt like a bridge to the movie rather then it's own thing. Destinys first half was solid but had bugs in it, The 2nd half felt like a repeat of the SEED plotwise, another space battle, granted I thought all three ship alliance were overpowered thanks to Lacus, which made some feel she was a mary sue or villain for giving them so much power. I do like Destiny it just isn't as well written as SEED or at least the plotlines come together much better, all the character arcs are great. Destiny set things up but never resolves them, SEED factor, Where did Durandel come from, stuff from SEED Blue Cosmos, , they introduced Dibril and Durandel two villains that didn't get enough screen time or didn't develop them all the way. I think the only plotline that was completed was Meer popstar identity, Cagalli taking back ORB, I heard the video game changed Destiny's ending and Fukuda was unhappy about it but the fact the half the characters were from the first series won, while all the Destiny characters were either sidelined or manipulated says alot how anti climatic it was.
Back to the movie, I think Shinn will look better now that his character arc still has somewhere to go. But this is Kira's movie, I think the ultimate coordinator thing will play a big part as well as the first coordinator. Athrun hasn't appeared in the trailers much, he seems to be a secret agent for Lacus on the destiny plan. Love the new posters and Athrun and Shinn will fight together again. I'm wondering what the new ZAFT girl will do, I also like some of the other new posters, Lacus in pigtails, Athrun in his purple suit knowing he'll be in action.
My favorite part might be that it uses Blue Cosmos and builds on them, the EA has always looked bad except the early SEED, it also doesn't create a movie only bad guy and the Destiny Plan with Durandul not far away from peoples minds
