Synduality Noir
Synduality Noir
So Its been stated that Synduality Noir will air on Disney+ , but is it going to be a Simulcast or will it all the episodes air later? Most articles are a bit vague about this.
Re: Synduality Noir
So is anybody watching this? It seems like a bit of a spiritual successor to Comet Lucifer, with some Evangelion references (Noir seems like a Rei Ayanami Expy, while the Johngasmaker is painted in Unit 1's color scheme)
Re: Synduality Noir
I am. The Coffins remind me of Big Tony from Sakugan. I'm hoping the show doesn't end up like Sakugan.
Re: Synduality Noir
i intend to watch it once my backlog gets less hectic. i hope a dub comes out sooner than later.
MOOK: ITS A YURI FANBOY!
Re: Synduality Noir
So far it seems like a good show, albeit with some rather common storylines. Still its a very entertaining show and I look forward to seeing how it goes, especially because it's supposed to have 24 episodes apparently.
So far the show seems relatively light hearted,

Though with some admittedly goofy rivals showing up in episode 2 , I wonder if the plot will deal with more human antagonists or just stick to fighting monsters?
Re: Synduality Noir
So now that a few episodes have aired we can get more of a feel to the shows themes. The show is on a more lighthearted mood (at least for the time being).
We also have grown the cast somewhat in addition to the leads.
For a start we have the mysterious (and seemingly benevolent) Char Clone "Black Mask" who has shown up periodically to get Kanata out of a Jam. Who he is and what he is doing are shrouded in mystery
Likewise there is the Femme Fatale Claudia and her Moe Magus Flamme, who frequently show up to double cross the main characters, but are shown to offer help with the situations grows to dire.
As of the end of the last episode
Spoiler
There are battles against the monsters, which every human survives, likewise last episode had a Gladiatorial Mech fight that resulted in no casualties (compared to say Votoms)

Though Schnee the Magus hints that he may have lost his memory.

Noir has unleashed an ultra powerful electric attack that disables a mech piloted by the ruthless Range, while sudden, many of the characters appear familiar with the phenomenon.
Re: Synduality Noir
Totally they really drag out the whole Oblivious to Love Main Character cliché. That being said I do find the episodes to be a bit hit or miss.
Some of the more goofy episodes are a bit slower (though I find the comedy most often works, plus the cast is overall quite likable), however these can be balanced out a bit more with some of the more plot centered stories.

Alba and Ada are neat characters (I particularly like Ada's snarky behavior) and it's neat to see the story develop a further, though what the end game of the series will be isn't exactly clear at this point (though I think Noir and her past will have something to do with it).

Wherein the characters meet the "Legendary Hero" Alba at what can be described as a Big Box store for Mechs, and they learn it may be possible to access Noir's long lost memories. It all culminates in a battle against almost Zombie like mechs.
Re: Synduality Noir
Well the most recent episode really upped the ante.
I wasn't sure of the series to begin with, but it is really getting better now as we head toward the mid season.
Spoiler
We see a massive swarm of monsters rampaging across cities and settlements. Granted this is in the backstory , but it is still the biggest battle so far. Plus with massive casualties and the severe injury of Tokio, the stakes have been raised.
Re: Synduality Noir
So I've heard this is supposed to be a two Cour show. Is it going to be all together or are they going to skip a season and come back in Winter?
