Were all variants of the Guncannon had Core Block System?

Just wondering whether the Guncannon Heavy Custom, the Guncannon Heavy Type D, and the Guncannon II have Core Block System? The Mass-production Guncannon and thhe Gundam Unit Unit 4/5 show that the Federation would be better getting rid of it and make use of the lesening of complexity and weight.

No, it seems like only the original RX-77-2 Guncannon was the only one to have the core block system. It had a limited production too.

All other variants had it removed to save on costs.

That makes sense. The Guncannon could really use that weight reduction.

Given that the Guncannon was more armored than regular MS in the 1st place, core block wasn't that much extra weight.

It was too complicated and too expensive hence why it wasn't adopted in most MS in universal century.

Didn't the Mudrock need the extra thrusters, while its primary weapons were not that different from the Guncannon (a bigger rifles and two bigger cannons?) I suppose that they were meant to accomplish similar roles? If then, why not reduce the weight and complexity to make the Guncannon a bit more quicker on the legs?

Anyway, I wonder why did the EFF pursuit the production of both the MP Guncannon and GM Cannon at the same time? It seemed like the prototype GM Cannon had some problem, then why not just dropped it to focus on the MP Guncannon? On the other hand, if the EFF wanted to reduce cost and simplify the supply chain by having an artillery MS sharing parts with the GM, then just focus on the GM Cannon.

Mudrock is a different topic because that is a Gundam prototype, not a mass production unit.

Gm Cannon was produced around the same time as the regular GM, it was one of the earlier GM variants to the base GM. Mass production Guncannon was produced near the end of the war, not too many units were rolled out.

At least according to MSV-R, the Core fighter is very expensive and that alone prevented it from being mass-produced. Well, RX-76 Prototype Ball had a similar description, so YMMV.

The Core Fighter suffered from the fact that it is not a stand alone fighter, and that reduced its performance and efficiency, rendering it to be more expensive than the regular space fighter but with less performance. It also has way more generator output than it can use(which is why the Core Booster tried to utilize that with 2 Mega cannons, which is also kinda mythical)

That's not correct, Core Booster added in additional powerplant for the reactor allowing it to use the built in mega particle cannons. Regular core fighter had no beam weapons to begin with, the extra core booster parts came with the extra powerplant and beam cannons.

The Core fighter has no beam weapons but generator strong enough to support a MS, that is why it is inefficient and EFF tries to utilize the available power. The Booster addon is a bit of strange thinking where it is used to increase the operation time and combat capabilities of the Core Fighter. The end result is addition of thermo-nuclear hybird thrusters which gave it even more power, and those together can power the Beam cannons. (They are called mega particle cannons but run on E-cap technology like the Beam Rifle)

Mobile suit core reactors are independent of the core fighter as the project V MS are listed as different reactor types compared to the core fighter.

I don't believe it alone had enough power to handle beam weapons especially given its very small size. It wasn't till the GP01's Core Fighter II could use beam guns via its beam sabers and that was also because of advance in tech years after the war.
