Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
Cross Born. It's Cross Born Dust. It's no longer Crossbone on account that it has nothing to do with them anymore. Let's clear up that misconception

The change of title isn't reflected in the Japanese wiki I referenced for said title... it still has it as 機動戦士クロスボーン・ガンダム DUST.Deacon Blues wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 2:37 pm Cross Born. Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
This change in the English name is also noted in the small blurb about Cross Born Dust in the Japanese wiki. In fact, the citation for that sentence has a link to an English translation (seems to be a machine translation...) of an 2017 (!) interview with Hasegawa about the NXEDGE STYLE Phantom Gundam figurine and more, where Hasegawa confirms the name change and it being a word play (it is the last second question for those interested, the part about mobile suit warrior seems to be a mistranslation).
Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
Every scan I've seen of info from the series has it as "CROSS BORN", whereas it was written "CROSS BONE" on earlier series.
I went back and double-checked covers/scans I could find online, and the original, Skull Heart, Steel 7, and Ghost all have the title written on them spelled "CROSS BONE". On the other hand, if you look at Dust, it's clearly spelled "CROSS BORN".

Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
The Japanese title obviously isn't going to change. Born is another away of reading ボーン. Besides, the English title is reflected on the cover of the volumes coming out. Hasegawa also addressed this in an interview quite some time ago.Seto Kaiba wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 3:06 pmThe change of title isn't reflected in the Japanese wiki I referenced for said title... it still has it as 機動戦士クロスボーン・ガンダム DUST.Deacon Blues wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 2:37 pm Cross Born. Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
It says フルクロス, which could be read either way with equal validity.False Prophet wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 9:41 am On the topic of name, is it "Full Cloth" or "Full Cross", as the X-1 and X-0 named here?
Their preferred reading is apparently "Full Cross"?

Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
Being neither a Crossbone Gundam fan nor a Gunpla collector, I am likely the wrong person to ask?

Re: F89 Gundam F89 Notes
Yep, the "Full Cloth" spelling is the one usually adopted on gunpla and action fiures, as can be seen on the following instances:
- Master Grade kit instructions
- Master Grade clear part campaign kit box
- High Grade Build Fighters kit box
- The Robot Spirits [Side MS] action figure box
