Geez Fumitan, quit hogging all the death flags

A little bit surprised this was all pretty much build up, but its all spent on Biscuit, Fumitan, and the worker's uprising so at least its time well spent. My only critisicm is that while I like how Savarian turned out to be I feel like the outcome wasn't as impactful as it could have been. We only knew about him for one episode prior, but I guess we gotta move the plot along. Though this might not be the last we see of him.

Does anyone else find it a bit ridiculous that the Gjallahorn guys didn't know what the real Kudelia looks like?

I like how Mika almost flies off the handle after finding out they beat up Atra.

You know when those explosions where going off I almost thought Mika had somehow managed to get the Barbatos and was using that to attack the warehouse. Then I reminded myself this isn't Gundam AGE.

That said I agree it was awesome how Mika saw Atra beat up and was ready to go on a rampage when Atra stopped him.

In terms of ratings being a flop, the Blu-ray and DVD weren't much better really (I think?):

Volume 1 sold 8398 units (making it #7) in the Blu-ray category with only 856 units in the DVD category making it number 15. The combined total earned it the #3 spot on the 2015 Fall Broadcast ranking sales for Volume 1...

I think a #3 spot for combined sales can at least be considered much better than being a flop, although maybe I just don't know the details of this particular ranking.

I found it rather silly as well. I was hoping that their helmets had some sort of online database or something and they'd knock about Savarin a bit for wasting their time, but nope.

They reminded me of two traffic cops that somehow bungled into possession of Ayman al-Zawahiri after he ran a red light & thought they could play as CIA interrogators for big promotion points.

But just to give it the benefit of the doubt, irl I don't think anyone here could have picked out Malala Yousafzai from a crowd of Pashtuns without having pictorial reference at hand, much less if she was wearing western clothes while shopping at Harrods (for the record, the gunman who shot Malala had to ask for her by name).

Granted, Malala didn't have hair on par with Lady Godiva.

That new girl in the second opening with the white hair and red marks near her eyes gives me this Japanese vibe. I have a feeling she could be from a family that's part of the seven stars. Probably a Japanese family.

I also LOLed at this ... as the perspective zoomed out, I thought "Revolution over with the single flick of a Graze's wrist." I think Dort 2's fate is pretty much sealed at this point. Next time we see Savarin, he may be floating in space with the debris.

Man, this episode greatly twists my opinion. I take many things back, because no matter how you justified it, beating up Atra is unforgivable. I guess that's the main point of this episode, to make it more clear that Gjallarhorn is villain here. And since gun down bunch of nameless support characters is likely not move us enough, poor Atra has to suffer to make it more personal to us (well, at least that work to me). (...and surely fans will make it even worse in dojinshi)

Atra is great loli character, physically weak and that make you want to protect her. But she's mentally strong girl and her innocent, optimistic view seem to stem from that instead of being naive. Heck, it's even more clear in this episode since Fumitan call Kudelia out on her naive issue.

Alright, Kudelia's misunderstanding about the context of responsibility and Naze's troublesome harem are good enough to make me chuckle. And seeing Shino play with those kids surprisely does fine job at lifting mood a bit. But still, the overall tension of this episode is pretty high.

Sigh...seriously, none of them ever see Kudelia in news or report before? Even if that's the case (unlikely as it is) Savarin and those men are still idiots, why would they lets single guy escort her? Still it's surrpise that his motive isn't totally selfish but indeed down to earth (heck, when he said he only sent his siblings to Mars, it does sound like an excuse to keep his intimidate act), not to mention a degree of mental break down when he learn that he's sacrificing an innocent girl in Kudelia's place. Surprise, I though any sympathy toward him should be completely gone by that point. If only it doesn't involve Atra got beaten I might feel more sorry for him.

From previous episode preview I though MaskGillis will unleash his chaotic nature, but it seem he remain cool head as normal (maybe it's those eyes cover? maybe he's talking here as McGillis?). And it look like he finally make his own move now. It's suck that Kudelia's decision to looking for Fumitan seem to only make the matter worse for her escort team, but with Fumitan missing it's possible that she simply can't think straight. Speaking of Fumitan, I'm surprise that the next episode preview seem to leave us wonder what she's really thinking?

Navona said he has contact other unions as well and they can cause mass riot once he start it. The other unions may have no weapons, but I'm pretty sure thing wil get ugly fast in the next episode.

Fan Dis-Service: All these smokin' and kawaii babes on the show, and the bath scene features overweight man-ass. Uncool, man, really uncool.

You changed me: Fumitan on Kudelia, her sunshine-and-roses charge who proved capable of turning around her cynical survivor mentality. It's another reason Kudelia the Blonde McGuffin matters in the story.
Taking responsibility: Something Fumitan & Mika-kun understand very well together. Kudelia-hime completely misses it in a kawai way.
Batplan: Gundam physics is fun! Also not a bad way to have a private conversation in a low-gravity environment.
Can you hear me now?: Sort of what the shop guys are saying. If Earth won't listen to words, maybe they will listen to words and guns?
We have the princess!!: The bad guys take a running jump to conclusions. Atra plays the swashbuckler trope card of "impersonating the princess" and succeeds to the point where none of the fools does an image search. You go, girl. Biscuit says nothing, wisely, but in his place I would be speechless too!
Popular Discontent: It's a hard, hard life being a harem king and needing to keep the ladies happy.
His daughter's birthday: My estimation of Gjallarhorn went up in this scene. I feel for the ship captain too, having to need to shuttle around the elite playmakers at the expense of his personal life.
Kick the Dog: Atra gets the third degree, and fanboys bristle the world over! The girl continues to play it smart by holding for time. Just a little more time for Mika-kun to arrive...
Brother my brother: I did not expect that episodes 14-15 would feature Biscuit, but damn if it did, and advanced the plot too! It is a poignant reuninon, since the brothers are at odds over the situation, but they both consider it a matter of business and empathy with their co-workers.
Can't see the forest for the trees: Savarin's problem here, which keeps him from being a sincere rebel.
Mercy: Atra talks Mika down from finishing off the goons that beat her. Her excuse that it was no more than her prior life to meeting him still made me wince for the goons though.
Sometimes a mask is just a mask: McGillis you great joker! His disguise took me back to the hair metal bands of my misspent youth. However he goes up one on the intrigue scale here by encouraging Kudelia to leave the colonies and proceed with her mission. What is he hoping to accomplish besides flipping the bird to Otou-sama?
Bring the Revolution: Hmm, they are somewhat underwhelming at a remove. But, revolutions have started and succeeded with fewer people taking action at a crucial junction. And if they are willing to ask Tekkadan for help...who knows?

Didn't they already ask for help from Tekkadan and Orga told them they have another mission. Though from what I understand Tekkadan, and Kudelia, is going to be tied up in this fight regardless.

So, uh, I'm surprised that you guys haven't been talking about the fact that they got picked up for a second season.

For a lot of you, it's good news, but for me, it's very bad news. Not just because I don't like this series at all, but considering the second season of 00, I have a feeling some of you may wind up not enjoying it. It's all speculation, of course.

Considering they're taking it from the Amazon Japan listing for the soundtrack, it's not a surprise they're overreacting. I believe Amazon did the same thing when announcing the G Reco soundtrack and look what happened with that.

An important note about this episode: it appears the news guy in the van didn't know who Kudelia was, but the workers did. This makes it very clear at this point that there's been some kind of censuring on her speech. It's famous amongst rebels and dissatisfied folk, as well as the politicians/people in power. But Gjallarhorn appears to have ensured most "upstanding" folks don't witness her revolutionary charisma for themselves. Even the news team's leader was like "wow! She's perfect!"

I think it was a great episode. So their point with the three measly mobile workers was to get people's attention. And it looks like Gjallarhorn only had three or so of their own, so I guess we were overreacting on how few the protesters had. Seems like they didn't plan to start violence either, so it was more like a demonstration that they were willing and ready to defend what they saw as their liberty if the company refused to listen to their reasonable demands.

Poor Saveren. His reaction wasn't so overdramatized. From what it looks like, he's seeing the big picture: Battleships. I get this horrible feeling we're in for a Zeon-style Colony massacre, or at least the real possibility of it. Gjallarhorn may very well slaughter everyone. If that's so, it's no wonder the poor guy was wailing and holding his head in his hands. He must be an naturally emphatic man who had one chance to save millions of lives, and failed pathetically.

Now we wait to see if ratings are going back up, especially with a big battle coming on. Huzzah to that. It's about time, Okada. If you've been saving the long stream of violence for the remaining episodes, then kudos to you for your setup. I just wish a good chunk of this time had been allocated to this situation instead of culturally confused Teiwaz.

There's only guy who recognized Kudelia and he said he saw her on the news. So I'm thinking he must've watched the news while he was in the outer sphere as practically no one in the Earth sphere, including those in the media, knew her face.

Also the Captain of that Cruiser mentioned that they are Gjallarhorn afterall when discussing information control or something. So that can explain it. Also I get the feeling that Nobliss or rather his men were reasonable for the Workers knowing about Kudelia and seeing her speech.
