While Reiji might well be out of the picture, I think it very likely we'll see the return of Sei and other old cast to at least put team Try Fighter out of commission.

Who's going to join Sei and Mao in kicking Try Fighters' butts though as their third, or will Sei literally Solo all 3!? (I know, I know, odds are it will be Yuuki as the third. Oh God save Try Fighters).

In a formal setting? I don't think so. Remember this focuses solely on the middle/high-school division of the tournament.

So for those interested here are the literal translation of the Jigen Haoh skill names so far:

Seiken Zuki = Holy Fist Thrust

Seiso Geri = Holy Lance Kick

Senpu Tatsumaki Geri = Whirlwind Tornado Kick

One possible scenario is that Build Burning finally got badly damaged, and despite Yuuma's skill, he notice there're several parts he has no idea what they are, and so...it's time to revisit Iori Shop

Formally? No. But it makes sense Sei and other oldbies would come and utterly humiliate the current cast as a reminder of the huge gap to go.

It's heavily unlikely that they'll stop this with just the "junior" divisions. It doesn't feel like the three of them would want to stay 'the best only of the younger generation', especially Sekai.

Eventually I think a confrontation with the oldbies is incoming, with Sei leading a Grade A butt kicking followed by important lessons. Basically, like his Father, Chinan and Ral did, he appears and is so utterly badass for one episode you are thankful they didn't swallow the whole show. (...Like Ral's ass).

Actually... I have to wonder if the 'oldbies' would even be as good at team battles. Most of the mobile suits in their groups are so general use that a specialized team could probably win against them. Not only that but I don't think the skill gap would be 'that' crazy. Gunpla battle is, after all, a game, and there are limits to how good one could get at it.

It was hinted at in ether episode two or three that Yuuma learned to build from a former world champion. We can assume that this was Sei. Giving this and that Yuuma is China's younger brother both could show up at the tournament finals as spectators. Sei might appear in a mentor role to Yuuma after build try fighters has a loss at some point, which allows Yuuma to take the lightning gundam to its next stage. I'm assuming the qualifiers will be starting next episode, and we'll be starting to see some of the random teams show up. We most likely won't see any of the teams briefly shown until the finals.

That's bugging me with Try fanart in general. A little cheesecake is all well and good but....barely any of the stuff I've found online is cute or fun. It's almost entirely porn of Fumina or her and other characters molesting Sekai.

Every so often you get something that remembers there are male characters in the show or does something with the MS but for the most part....ouch.

Clearly, this is a sign that Banrise could totally make a profit by catering harder to the Otaku demographic. The next Build Fighters should feature an all-female cast, with every one of them as disgustingly cute as Fumina. The show would sell like hotcakes.

Still, they should totally do that.

On a less dubious note, another part of me hopes that given Fumina's massive popularity in general, and supposing that a third season of Build Fighters comes around after this one, that Banrise might finally cave and make the main character of that supposed series a girl. One can only hope!
