Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk III
Silver Bullet HGUC manual said the Gundam type head is for quasi-psycommu weapons test while the GM head is for the enhanced measurement sensor. Don't know whether the former refers to enhancement or is the only one capable of using the incoms and hands.
Don't remember whether the wired funnel type uses the Gundam head or not.

So do you guys think they'll reveal Frontal's new ride before it airs? Besides it there's the rumoured Unicorn Final Form and the usual surprise MS(Zeon or EFF this time?) and that's it. We have Feb, March and April magazines to go.
Also remember people who already saw Frontal's new ride it said it resembles Dendobrium

But it only takes effect if you wear a mask while piloting the MS.toysdream wrote:Or the "X" is for multiplication. XC = Multiplied by Char's Constant, which has been experimentally measured as 1.300000.

Full Frontal's new unit, NZ-999 Neo Zeong. I can see Sinanju in it.

All subjective, of course. Personally, I'm waiting to see it in action.

Apparently it has many weapons related to the origin of the Psycoframe.
It also has 6 arms!

I count 8 I-field generators

Top seems to be from the Japanese Unicorn site, middle is a screenshot from the latest PV/trailer, the bottom looks to be a shop of the lineart showing how all 6 arms deployed would look like.BrentD15 wrote:Where did you find these? :O

I'm waiting to see it in action but... I'm still a little underwhelmed. I think I would have liked the fanart version better.

The boosters will be dettachable just like Alpha Aziel's.
The arms don't look very Zeonic and resemble the Psycho Gundam's, probably recycled parts.
Lacking a face is a problem, but I hope the Sinanju is still partially functional.
So it is Neue Ziel x Psycho Gundam x Alpha Aziel.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk III
Of course it has a psychoframe, it's almost a requirement for post-OYW MA. Holy crap, I thought at first those were thruster blocks on the back! I need to fiddle with the monitor display again...or buy new glasses. Six arms of the Psycho Gundam variety, Full Frontal will be the Sir Spam-a-lot of the final battle. And eight, count 'em, eight I-field generators.... Hope someone on the other side remembered to pack a bazooka!balofo wrote:Apparently it has many weapons related to the origin of the Psycoframe.

Was this Katoki's inspiration?

**Now let's try to define its armaments:
-6x 5 barreled Mega Particle Cannons(Incoms?)
-1x belly mounted Mega Particle Cannon
-6x shoulder mounted Mega Particle Cannons(4 on front, 2 on back)
-4x skirt mounted I-Field Generators( 2 on front, 2 on rear)
-Sinanju core unit(stripped down? where are the hand held weapons then?)
-2x Binder with unknown functions
-2x Large Propellant Tanks(detachable)
No solid ammo? No Psyco Jammers? Interesting

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk III
Seriously? Why do they have to go and ruin a perfectly good story with that thing -_-;
Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk III
Because the aesthetic design of a single mech has always had such a huge impact on narratives.
Seriously, I get not liking it (I think the fan art was cooler), but to say it will RUIN THE STORY?

Because I know you were all wondering:

As we can see, the fewer resources the Neo Zeons have, the bigger their boss mecha become!

That feel when Katoki has been more miss(Norn NT-D, Exexbein, Neo Zeong, Kshatriya Repaired) than hit lately.

I'm with Deacon here. I don't think it will ruin my previous experience with Unicorn, but not only is the Neo Zeong jarring in the context of almost everything that's been shown to us, it's also jarring that it wasn't the author's original intent.Kratos wrote:Because the aesthetic design of a single mech has always had such a huge impact on narratives.

It's a cheap move, I don't know why creators feel the need to make everything bigger and more explosive as a series goes on.
