Wow. That is very nice. The Alex often doesn't get any love. =p Can I ask you what method you used to draw this?
I do have to point out though that I think the forearms didn't come out as wide as they should be. The Alex's forearms are actually huge. The regular part of the forearm should still be a standard width, even if it's offset a bit to the side by its gun. And the gatling gun itself is supposed to be able to be housed by that blue part of the structure alone. So both of those parts need to be wider. The gatling in your picture seems to be coming from the elbow, but the lineart suggests that the gun should just be resting on the elbow instead.
Right?
Anyway, I still think this is a great work. The quality of your lineart is excellent, and the shading is very well done. Who the hell needs color? =p You have me beat all around, even with only half of a Gundam, haha.
Oh, and welcome to the forums, Temjin. We're always glad to have newcomers, especially those with good talent to contribute. I hope you have a good stay here, and please look at every one else's work, too. See you around. =)

I had a resin model kit to play with for reference. The drawing itself was done on a tablet pc in Alias Sketchbook. The lines on the top layer, and the shading at the bottom layer.Seraphic wrote:Can I ask you what method you used to draw this?
No way! that picture is wrong. heheSeraphic wrote: Right?

I guess the PC's for the stand...
Nice work anyway--why should it not be, it's the Alex after all.^^

Tablets again! I'll never hear the end of it. Don't mock me, universe!
I'm glad you have a good sense of humor. We'll get along fine.
And I don't think anyone would mind so much if you posted your other stuff for us to see. It doesn't always have to be mecha. It's nice to see some variety once in a while, you know?
