Border Break: Sega Network Robot Wars

Post by VR7 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 6:15 pm

You guys know anything about this beyond what is featured on those pages? It's apparently an arcade game being made by Sega (lawl Virtual-On) revolving around 10v10 mech battles.

I don't recognize any of the units, though some of them remind me of GMs. I think it might be an original game.

Looks like it has nothing to do with Virtua On.

There is some info here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=352859

It sounds really interesting but I won't be following this, it'll probably end up being another arcade only title like the GvG games.

There's some game footage too. Weird leg animations.

This is probably dumb of me, but the title reminds me of immigrant problems. >.> I guess that's what I get from living near the border....

Yeah, the legs are looking pretty jittery there. Did the developers just not care about that or something? I wonder how such a blatant issue gets past everyone... Overall, it looked kinda standard, and maybe a bit slow paced. I sure hope the music improves.

I didn't notice it before: But the pilot pictured on the 2nd left corner of the next page, the first screen cap on the page...sorta resembles Phoenix Wright

Game dosen't look too bad, sorta reminds me of a slower paced Exteel.
