Knowing what Ingram will ultimately do, a lot of looks on his face can end up looking too evil. The one Ingram gets after Kai tells him to stay out of the way after he is convinced not to shoot Ryusei in episode 2 is one of them. So evilish looks can show up early too.

Anyone else think that Record of ATX was made in response to how little screen time the ATX team got in Divine Wars?

I wouldn't be too surprised. I had heard that when SRW Impact came out, Kyosuke and Excellen were pretty dang popular, which is one of the reasons Kyosuke was chosen as the "co-lead" of OG1.

Although, I got a chuckle out of Ryusei's hair on the first page.

The artist's style also lends to there not being much in the emotional range of the hot blooded pilots between calm and over-the-top rage.
