Majestic Prince continuation?

So what exactly happened with Majestic Prince? It had a season, then an extra episode, then a theatrical movie, and after that it just kind of disappeared. The manga ended two years ago(apparently there was a hiatus during it's run), so are there any plans to adapt more/finish the rest of the story? Did the movie not do well? is it one of those case where the adaptation is meant to advertise the manga/novels? How much of the manga was adapted? they did manage to get 24 episodes out of a manga that had only been running for 2 years.

Manga is its own story. Majestic Prince anime itself took a few elements from the manga, but the manga was still running when the anime came out. I read the manga raw and its quite different than the anime. So much so that some elements of the anime were in the manga like the Team Rabbits mecha from the anime were in the manga but the actual team rabbits were a different team. The manga version of the characters is also different too, some of which have very different personalities.

Anime ended with a bit of a open ended ending. The aliens were not completely defeated but most of their forces were wiped out.

I would not expect any more continuation.
