So now it seems that Toei and AIC are now joint owners of some old-school Mecha Anime( Bubblegum Crisis,Zeorymer, Dangaioh,Megazone, etc), also apparently they are going to make more content for these existing franchises.
So what does everyone think? Do you think they'll remake/add new content or just rerelease the originals? There's apparently supposed to be a new Megazone Project...
Toei-AIC partnership.
Re: Toei-AIC partnership.
I think partnering with Toei will provide the funding necessary to get new projects off the ground. AIC had previously crowdfunded promotional films to measure interest for a Megazone remake called SIN and a new project called XI. Obviously, if they had the money to fully fund those projects, they would have already. So maybe those two things will move faster. I can't imagine right now any new projects using Dangaioh or Zeorymer, but BGC still has a following in the west, so maybe there's a possibility there.

AIC owns Blue Gender!. There is no way we will ever get anything else from that universe but hopefully they release the series in Bluray .
