Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

So...saw the last episode.

Seeing Akihiro take his revenge against Idiok was soooo satisfying to witness. Sadly, he was one of the very small handful of war criminals to face justice in this season.

Mikazuki's last fight with Julieta left me kinda...wanting. I was expecting more damage to be inflicted upon Julieta, but considering Rustal using the Dáinsleif from orbit, maybe that was expecting too much.

Speaking of combat pragmatics who commit war crimes, Rustal should be more cautious about letting Gaelio and Julieta stick around considering they're witnesses to such crimes, but considering he's Gjallerhorn's president and they're loyal to him, perhaps this is justified.

If there is going to be a third season (if not a Calamity War prequel), it would be interesting to see how this would start off. Would President Rustal be assassinated? Would Almiria be involved at all?

To finish, I would say that the series isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but it could have been better.

I always assumed that Almiria committed suicide

There was some mention of her in a radio drama that implied she was still alive but not in a good mental state.

And while she was in an asylum she killed herself. At least as far as I am aware.

You got a source for that?

I always assumed that we'll get a sequel featuring McGillis Jr. who growth up with idealized image of his father, told by his half-crazy mother.

No. But I seem to remember being mentioned somewhere in this thread. It was right after Season 2 closed that someone in Bandai mentioned it which was posted in the thread.

You remember about someone mentioned that someone else in Bandai mentioned it?

Remind me of the whole "G-Savior is removed from official timeline" incident.

Hmmm... Well it wasn't in this thread. Maybe I remembered it wrong or it was on another forum.

IBO Site has updated, and there's a huge new announcement

Iron Blooded Orphans is getting a new story, there's Gunpla involved, and at the bottom, there's a teaser pic for a new Gundam Frame

Could be a set of compilation movies for IBO with new MS or rather, different options for Gundam Frames.

I'd love a OVA showing the Calamity War and showing the original Calamity War versions of the titular frames like the Gusion and Barbatos.

I still has teh same wish as when the show finished its run.

Movie sequel, featuring vengeful Ride who find more MAs and activate them to give him an edge against the current government (possibly along side Gundam Andras, and it is as bad as in demonology).

I can see an older Akatsuki teaming up with Ride and some of the other former Tekkadan members in order to fight off something Rustal has done, something that even Kudelia couldn’t ignore.

Actually, it mentions a Mobile APP, not a game. Though I admit it does say "combines anime and game elements". I honestly think this is actually an anime but with an App of some sort backing it up for some reason or another.

I suspect the part about microtransactions might be that reason. Seems like an appealing monetization option for Bandai with this format.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

I know that this thing happens with all anime genre, but what is the deal with recent Gundam works and the mysterious-girl-with-unexplained-talent/knowledge archetype? We have one in Diver and one for this new app. Also, the first thing that jumps to my mind when hearing about this app is Walpurgis.
