New Manga: Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Gaiden: Mace Of Judgement

Saw an article in Gundam.info linking to the Dengeki Daoh site:

Not many details yet: it seems to take place on U.C. 0089 and the image shows a Hamma Hamma, a black Gudnam Type MS and who seems to be Judah with a blue-haired girl using and AEUG pilot suit.

That's actually the Gullinbursti Gundam! This appears to be a rebranded version of AOZ: Mace of Judgement


I suspect the rebrand as Zeta Gundam Gaiden instead of AOZ is because the Traitor to Destiny, Blue Wings of AEUG, and Mace of Judgement stories all bear little resemblance to the original popular (at least among modelers) AOZ and the currently running Re:AOZ. That's just my guess though.

The original Advance of Zeta was billed as the Z Gundam Sidestory. I guess my default the Traitor to Destiny story was as well.

I find it odd that they're adapting this when the original comic run was cancelled due to the artist getting ill I believe. This particular novel short was never compiled in the novel series.

Isn't this technically more of a ZZ sidestory rather than a Zeta Side story? Cause IIRC it takes place either around or after the 1st Neo Zeon War...

It seems there aren't much ZZ side stories, compared to Zeta..., cause lately there are Unicorn side stories which compliment CCA too.
