Watching it again, I would honestly say I don't really prefer one over the other. I still think S1's was a tad more dramatic IMO because the buildup was so much more tense and he really did just sort of come in out of nowhere - this one was slightly more predictable IMHO.
That said, I would say they were about equally AWESOME.

Agreed. They both were equally cinematic. But I must bow to your statement that S1 had the better buildup.

My hope is we get to see Gusion more often this time around. Akahiro had better not waste time in one of those workers when he has a Gundam to smash things with.

I find it nice that we see from this episode how far the 2 former Brewers Human Debris pilots have come, even from near the end of S1, even though one of them is on Earth judging from the OP at the end. They seem to have properly adjusted to Tekkadan, they don't look malnourished anymore.

Also.... is the name ATLAND supposed to imply something for Human Debris? Akihiro and Masahiro have that last name, but so do the former Brewers pilots.... I wonder if Masahiro gave them that name since they were squadmates.... Or maybe they gave themselves that last name in honor of Masahiro.

I think it's just Akihiro making them his family.

If so
Spoiler
Show
I wonder how he will fare with McGillis since he was betrayed by him.
I guess the mask could be some sort of mind control device?
I am currently leaning towards your theory as well but unless he operates under a separate wing of the army him being McGillis' literal puppet seems possible.

Despite both being pirates, the Dawn Horizon Corp is clearly on another league compare to Brewers. Ignoring military force, they're obviously better organize and look dangerous too.

Yeah, now Tekkadan grow much bigger, and the problem arise. While they used to be all like family, now some are simply employers and not so cool with Orga.

So that's why Hush seem to interest in Mika...can't blame him. Again, he's a character with lot of potential and it's intresting what will become of him. On the bright side, he might become the best pilot of non-Alaya-Vijnana MS, on the dark side...shall we say Graze Zwei?

Here come a new maskman, although we have no idea who he might be.

Look like we will get another big batttle in next episode too?

I was prepared to come out of episode 2 with concerns that they are going to parallel S1. It's too early to tell if they know exactly where they're going with this story, but there's clearly lots more plot-threads to go around, and some of them are more endearing/intriguing than before.

I liked the episode but i feel like they trolled me with the "fight".
I don't like Hush. I think he will end up betraying Tekkadan even more than I did before. While Hushs story is sad it's not much different than any other orphan. Sad world they live in. Tragic tbh.
Didn't really like the ED. Hopefully it grows on me like the previous ED did.

I am not a fan of Hush as a character yet but I like him being on that team. Betrayal is too predictable, and we've already seen an arc where I guy is too obsessed to be the best to the point of getting an AV surgery (Ein). But he has the potential to be a badass #2 (a la Vegeta, Hajime Saito etc) and who knows, he could be one of the best non-AV pilots through sheer will and training, if he gets his own MS. Would be interesting if that's his story.

I feel you guys are being a little to harsh on Hash, his not like Ein who just sucks we actually get a backstory on why he is the way he is, his on Orphan just like the rest of them, he just needs time to fit in with tekkadan.

I do worrry Hush will betray the Tekkies eventually. Those beady eyes scream "Villain!" every time I see them. That aside, he feels like a Shin Asuka type individual, but his angst feels more genuine and enjoyable. But maybe that's because he's a fresh Hush, and will become stale Hush later on. Flashbacks, and that stuff we love to hate.

That aside, I somehow feel he may move to take the surgery anyway, and that potentially becoming "Industrial Waste" is a good thing combat-wise. After all, look at what's become of Mika. He could qualify as a "Failure" by someone uniformed (like Hush) who just takes a gander at his worthless arm and blind eye. But when hooked up to the Gundam, arm and eye work again, and the machine performs better than it could otherwise.

This is similar with Ein, who lost everything, and so became the MS entirely.

What about the boy who lost his lower half. Did they put him in a MS (highly unlikely) to see how well he received data? He could have had incredible footwork, something unlikely to be worthwhile in a MW, and that's assuming they dragged him over to one and dumped him in for a quick test, which is doubtful. Granted, his AV wasn't finished bonding perhaps, or required more time. Who knows.

But I do assert that Gjallarnhorn probably doesn't have the same risks the public surgery has, being more advanced all that stuff.

I think that's why Dane just walk out with modest "good luck". Hush's story is tragic and it's understandable why he act like he is now, but he seem to overlook fact that such tragedy is common in PD world.

As noted, he either grow out of angst and become PD version of "Supaa Pilotto" by stick to good side, or Graze Ein 2.0 if turn bad.

GREAT EPISODE!

This looks like it's more fitting for the third-to-last episode rather than the third. Amazing battles, not just the MS, but also the Captains' battle of tactics.

+I am a sucker for former 'enemies' becoming allies, so seeing the Schwalbe Graze (yay it's back!) backing up Barbatos was awesome
+Seems like the drama between different factions within Gjallahorn is in full display here, meaning we can have a bigger s***show at the beginning of 4.
+Mobile suit pit stops!!! I like how they pointed out the Gusion being the more complex unit to resupply. (but seriously, that unit has a lot going on)
+I didn't expect Mika to punk so many enemy units like that Freedom Gundam style.
+They need to get Eugene in an MS. He looks like Graham Aker, bleeds like Graham Aker, as reckless as Aker, I believe he would be the 2nd best pilot Tekkadan has!
+Gunpla commercial extraordinaire! And as a gunpla fan that is a positive!
+From that one line I'm 93% sure Masked guy #2 sounded like Gali-Gali. Can anyone confirm the VA?

-Mika could use some more personality during battles, though.
-"Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City" is the weirdest MS name of all time.

He's way more awesome in the Isaribi's helm than he can ever be in an MS, but seeing that he's linked up to something way bigger than a mobile suit, I expect that to take a heavier toll on him.

Confirmed from the credits. Masaya Matsukaze is back as "Vidar".

I... enjoyed this episode. There's wasted space here and there, but otherwise it's solid. The Full City, I think it's a take off of Full House, the term that is.

Admittedly it's quite the stretch, to me at least. Of course, I don't like the giant hedge clippers. That's not cool at all. The MS weapons in this universe are all bizarre, with the Kimaris' Lance and everything the Barbatos lays its fingers on being the baddass exceptions.

Oh, and Gali-Gali is back! One must question why Macky doesn't know. Surely he felt a disturbance in his hair curls. Guess not? That leads me to ask: why the heck did he not have someone check the Kimaris to retrieve the body? Was he not at the funeral? There WAS a funeral, right, right? I don't mind Galileo being alive and all, but only if the setup is intelligent. It makes no sense whatsoever to bring him back. That mask does not explain to me how McGillis missed his dead friend's burial.

Hold it! *Shocked* This... this could be an example of worldbuilding. We know funerals just aren't common anymore. Carta apparently didn't get one. This means the staff wouldn't have to explain funeral arrangements and other awkward details... they don't exist in P.D. However, that raises questions about why Galileo hasn't booted Macky away from his sister, and his father to help.

There's also the issue of the corpse. Surely someone informed Chocolate-san that Galileo's corpse wasn't where he left it. That's usually a good life sign if I ever heard of one.

Bah! The Char Clone strikes again, I guess. "There's no way he could have survived that explosion stab."

Only thing I have to say about episode 28 is this.... Holy Unicron's optics Mega Blue Hazuki lives! And what I assume is the incomplete Vidal looks awesome and I cannot wait to see it action and then buy the gunpla.

Been pretty good stuff so far. Not at all surprised that Montero-head(I call him this because his mask reminds me of the Montero from G-Reco, which I recently watched) ends up being Gali-Gali, and looking forward to seeing more from him.
Also kinda looking forward to seeing Iok in action, because AFAIK it's so rare for a commander to be the one who specialises in rear-line support rather than Char-style up-close-and-personal melee combat(Can't remember where I read that this was the case).

Not sold on the Hedge Clippers either, but IMO still looks better overall than the original Rebake - though that is IMO the goofiest Gundam name ever. Rebake Full City? Sounds like a cupcake bakery in New York more than a giant robot.

Still, can't wait for what happens next.

I'm pretty sure they removed the Rebake part, so it's just Full City. And thank you for agreeing about the hedgeclippers. That's going to be my signature gripe for this week, apparently.
