Also G-ITS commander did bring it on himself but at least his sacrifice stopped the disaster and as the fake head bombs showed. He wasn't a complete monster and probably just horribly misguided about going about his actions. Will the remaining G-ITS crew be as favorable on the Reconguista is the question.

Most likely genetic mutation. I write this for a number of reasons. The first is on there way to venus globe the crew of the Megafauna were all tested for negative genetic traits. At the same time they were put through an exercise regiment to get rid of any other toxic elements. This makes me believe that Venus Globe is a highly sanitized colony out in space. We also don't know what genetic mutations the people living in Venus Globe have developed over the generations that they have lived out in space.

One of these mutations looks like the ability to age at a much slower pace. This is most likely due to how sanitized venus globe is, and most negative genetic factors might have been eliminated. Either that or the people of venus globe when the colony first started were genetically modified to live longer, due to extreme living conditions, and this trait was passed down all the way to the current generation. The trait being beneficial to the colonists survival. In short the people on Venus Globe can be considered a different branch of humanity from those who live on and around earth.

-G-Self is shown in a scene with the new shield but it launches without it

Waiting to watch 22, but if that's the case—with the Venus folk living a highly sanitized life, genetically modified, or the descendants of genetically modified settlers; I'm curious if we would have a War of the Worlds style outcome once they're exposed to the populations or biomes on and around Earth. Hmm...
