As it happens, none of the things you suggested are terribly disagreeable ideas. The only point that I wouldn't personally endorse is your stance on fanservice.

Because I. Love. Fanservice.

Re: Create the next Gundam TV Series

Me too. Love both kind of fanservice. Be it cute loli playing in swimming pool, or the epic battle that leave you shouting "Yeah! I alway want to see this!".

For another thing I want to see, the Char's clone will use different style of disguise. Either luchador mask, or paint his face in wrestler style. For bonus point, lets make him medicore pilot, but can make Master Asia proud by KNOCKING GUNDAM DOWN WITH LARIAT! "Only wimp need MS to perform lariat!"

Re: Create the next Gundam TV Series

How about let's not have a Char Clone at all?
With that said, I'm not too terribly picky about what they do next with the franchise, as long as Level5 or Mitsuo Fukuda/Chiaki Morosawa don't come within a thousand miles of it.
Pretty much anyone else is fine by me.
You know what I'd love to see in a Gundam series? An OP theme by JAM PROJECT.
Actually you know what? Personally, my #1 favorite recent mecha anime series (Besides the currently ongoing Eureka Seven AO) had to have been The Inspector.
I'd be curious to see what that crew could do with a Gundam series.

In semi-serious mode...

While it's possible, you really think that will happen? I think they will add another Char's clone, even if he doesn't really qualify as one, beside the mask (look at Zeheart).

(that being said, I think the same thing applies to Turn A's Harry, but it work well in that case)

Seriously, Sunrise should realize by now that the character archetype is ridiculed (by various anime, and, maybe unintentionally, themselves - both Mr.Bushido and Zeheart made you wonder if they really need to be dressed up as Char's clone?) to the point that it's now somewhat hard to take it serious, unless backed up by really good writing.

And thus I wish, not really serious though, that they just get along and give us a mysterious Masked Wrestler who only pilot red MS with horn, and has questionable attitude toward loli.

Instead of various themes of world destructions or world wars I would like to see Moretsu Gundam or PatGundam for once. Post Turn A world would bre nice.

When I meant fan service I did limit it to sex appeal, not fight scenes and information.

Reading that, and consider how people label Sunrise for being follow-the-leader animators, make it occur to me.

The next series will be Animate MS Girls series, in spirit of Infinite Stratos. Where "Panty Shot" actually sink a battleship. :P

This. So much this. He needs to have an impossibly high voice too, so that people originally find it super annoying(Goku, Naruto), but wind up loving it by the end of the series.

And at some point he MUST steal Harry Ord's Shtick. He must yell UNIVERSE! at the top of his lungs.

Alternatively, he could also were a full Plate helmet, but it also must be red with a horn. And he can't see through it. at all.

Re: Create the next Gundam TV Series

Gundam fight 14 we need a new G Gundam series because it makes for a nice break from all the war or a gundam X sequel maybe 100 or so years later with a vulture group trying to prevent another war from breaking out
also a series where the lead pilots a a red gundam not a blue and white but a red the char cone is a CCA maskless but more quattro esq in personality and a revival of G-saviour designs but not the horrid movie plot

Re: Create the next Gundam TV Series

Given how insistent pretty much everyone seems to be on pretending G-Saviour doesn't exist (although I heard from a buddy that the videogame that came out was pretty awesome for its day, and it does have some pretty sweet designs), I doubt we'll be seeing anything out of that ever again.
As much as I loved Gundam X, I'd much rather they left it alone rather than run the risk of a disappointing sequel. And frankly, if it's set so far into the future that the original cast is gone, they're better off just making it an entirely separate AU anyway.

Agreeing 100% on this. It's the reason I don't really care for Under the Moonlight--it doesn't feature the original cast in any shape or form (in fact, it hardly even mentions them from what I've seen of it) and everything else in it is merely rehashes of mobile suits and tech we've already seen, as if nothing had changed in that span of time. And that's in AW 0024--still taking place within the original cast's lifetime!

If we're going to explore that universe again (though I'd personally love to see it set in a later part of the UC timeline), I'd prefer to see a 7th Space War prequel story instead. When there's so little that we currently know about it (the existing manga side-story has some real contradictions to the anime storyline), I'd like to see it fleshed out further for both the UNE and SRA. And just like that, you have a story that's effectively the One Year War with the serial numbers filed off, but with a very different outcome.
That wacky Gundam X fangirl (yes, girl) the fandom warned you about...

Uh, yeah, I know.

That's the aspect I was disagreeing with you on.

Why would you even want that? They serve no purpose but to eat up the budget which could be used for action scenes.

Pretty much this. Would've Gunbuster nearly as awesome without its great fan service?

Considering that was a negative about it I would say yes.

Fan Service =/= Porn, and for someone who says the best anime franchise is one where the robot is powered by orgasms I am a bit surprised.

Re: Create the next Gundam TV Series

In terms of fanservice it really is dependent on a few things for me. There are many visual novels that I prefer the non-adult versions of simply because sex/pantyshots/whatever and that kind of thing doesn't interest me especially if it feels shoehorned in. On the other hand a few of it here and there isn't too bad. We need a balance of it with action. Though even then too much action is just as bad. Then again, Gurren Lagann managed to pull a ton of fanservice WITH a ton of action AND awesome characters for the most part so... again, really depends on who writes it. There are also shows like Aquarion... with really strange action going on utilizing moaning people who sound like they are in the middle of a sex act. And they manage to pull it off, so really I would imagine it depends on the writer whether they make aspects work or not.

If anything I just want as tight of characters and development as Turn A Gundam, and deaths of characters that are much more heart wrenching to you as the viewer. Beyond that I don't really care how they approach the tech and universe. I could care less if it's as narmy and rather crazy as G-Gundam was or as hard/tight science fiction as Votoms. All that matters is a coherent story and well written and executed characters, beyond just the concept of the character being good. Really good mecha designs or really well done action sequences or fanservice are all just simply adding to the experience but not the main things I care about.

Aquarion is powered by an extremely powerful solar panel designed to pollinate an extremely powerful and ancient mystical tree, not the stimulation side effects it gives off to its pilots when searching for abilities in which to amalgamate and use for combat.
