Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

What exactly would a housewife in Japan want in a mecha series? :?

Anyway, I don't know if anyone else read the spoilers on /m/, but if what is said true then this series officially became darker than Zeta since for the first time in a gundam anything they actually killed off
Spoiler
the mechanic. Yep, that glasses chick (Remi is it?)
That and a second wear was confirmed for Age-2 although it looks more like a recolor.

Astonaige would like a word with you about the mechanic being killed off for the first time ever. Granted he's not a cute meganekko, but still.
And yeah, it's Remi
If this turns out to be true, I'm very sad.
I'm also curious about that AGE-2 wear you mentioned. D'you have any more info on that?

It's in the preview of the new episode. It's not a new wear.

Regarding the "new wear",
Spoiler
Flit goes all-out in channeling Woolf Enneacle. From normal clothes, to normal suit, to the freaking AGE-2 Normal- all in Woolf colors.
As for the current episode,
Spoiler
-AGE-1F's backpack is a missile launcher. Might be a nuke but no confirmation yet.
-Photon Blaster sees a lot of awesome action here.
-Algreus pulled off a great move there in downing the Downes. (Sorry.) And great move averting an unintentional colony- err, Downes drop.
-Ezelcant's true plan is revealed.
-There appears to be some closure between Asemu and Zeheart- at least for now.
-And yeah, Remi kicked the bucket- or was kicked while in the bucket.
Well, I guess I'm a nobody...

I forgot he even existed.
If this turns out to be true, I'm very sad.
To make it worse there is supposedly more death in that episode to go around; vagans get it far worse though.

You mean Asemu.

But yeah, hopefully the next ep will devote some time to resolving the Asemu/Romary thing.

It better.

FlitxEmily-out-of-absolutely-nowhere Ver. 2 = DO NOT WANT. That was just poor storytelling.

And heck, we haven't even seen or heard of Emily since the beginning of the arc.

Well I just watched the ep, definitely as dark as I thought. That and Zogok is coming back next episode (sort of)! Yay!

I saw the preview for the next episode, and it's quite interesting to see Asemu wear Woolf's clothes and wear his pilot gear.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

ASEMU IS NOW THE SECOND COMING OF WOOLF And quite frankly I hope he stays that way as in himself but with white ms and and Woolf's gear it would be a good way to pay tribute to his mentor and probably the most influential person in his life

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

This episode was decent, the fight between Zeheart and Asemu was stunted though. They resolve their relationship quickly, and I wasn't as pleased with it as I hoped.

So next episode we will hopefully see something come of Romary and Asemu's relationship. But considering the lack of development they received this arc I'm more interested in the not-Ashimaar.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

Gonna have to disagree with ya DuelGundam. There have been some sad moments in this show but I'm not sensing the rise of the Dark Side just yet. Remi's death was sad but had nowhere even close to the emotional impact that the deaths of Yurin and Wuulf had on me.

I like how you nicknamed Downes "the Basestar."

Depression plus a big death count for an AU series isn't dark?

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

Yeah, darkness has more to it than that. It's all about a sense of hopelessness and pointlessness. Zeta truely is dark because by the end of it everything Kamille went through didn't amount to much. They really just traded the Titans for Neo Zeon. What small victory they did have didn't make up for everything that was lost.

Here in AGE, the federation have beaten back the Vagan once again. While a few good people have died, their deaths weren't in vain. The war may be tough at points, but none of the characters were consumed by hopelessness.
