The Nadesico looked really different in the Manga!!

Random: Based on what is seen in the film, I think those four fins you see sticking out in that Eucharis pic are part of its overpowered distortion field generator.

Edit: I suppose if we have all this lineart, we will need descriptions to go with them. Descriptions of the Nadesico, Cosmos, Kakitsubata, and Shakuyaku (significant spoilers, so hiding for the benefit of those who have not watched the whole series yet)

ND-001 Nadesico

The first in a new generation of battleships, the Nadesico was the most powerful ship of its time and was captained by Yurika Misumaru. Built by Nergal Heavy Industries and powered by two Phase Transition Engines (which generated energy from vacuum), armed with a Gravity Blast cannon and defended by a Distortion Field, the ship was more advanced than anything Earth had ever created. It is later revealed that these three technologies were reverse-engineered from a derelict alien spacecraft found crashed on Mars. Nergal's later ships using these technologies were referred to as being of the Nadeisco class, despite their differing designs.
Rather than handing it over to the UESF for use in the war with the Jovians, Nergal built the ship to proceed to Mars to recover survivors left behind following the initial Jovian attack. After the utter failure of this mission, Nergal make up with the UESF and upon its return the Nadesico is officially drafted into the military. Later it receives the Y unit originally slated for its destroyed sister ship, the ND-004 Shakuyaku, which affords it two more Phase Transition Engines and the most powerful weapon ever built - the Phase Transition Cannon. After the Nadesico crew learn the truth about the Jovians and the war and see the lengths Nergal and the UESF will go to to keep it secret, the majority of the crew flee the ship - only to later hijack it back from Nergal and head for Jovian space to sue for peace. After it becomes apparent that the Jovan leadership will settle for nothing less than Earth's unconditional surrender, the ship heads for Mars where it steals the Ruin Unit - a piece of ancient alien technology that makes boson jumping (a form of instantaneous transport and even time travel) - possible, and what Earth and the Jovians were really fighting over. The ship then uses it to jump into deep space, where the Nadesico (minus the bridge unit containg the crew), is set adrift with the ruin unit inside it, to hide it from both Earth and the Jovians and remove the prime incentive for continued hostilities.

ND-002 Cosmos

The second 'Nadeisco' class ship from Nergal, the ND-002 Cosmos is considerably larger than the ND-001 Nadesico and is armed with an extremely-powerful 10-barrel Gravity Blast cannon. It's nose section opens out into a dock for the servicing of other ships, for this reason it is also known as the Mobile Dockship Cosmos. The Nadesico docked with the Cosmos for maintenance twice - once after its return from Mars and again after receiving the Y Unit.

ND-003 Kakitsubata

The third 'Nadeisco' class ship from Nergal, the ND-003 Kakitsubata, is commanded by the Nergal chairman's secretary (and former Nadesico Helmswoman) Erina Wong. The design is slightly different from other Nadesico class ships in that the Distortion Field generators are stacked vertically, rather than one on each side. The generator pods can split open and fire some kind of heavy beam cannon. Some of the Nadesico crew also remarked on its exceptional manoeuvrability. The Kakitsubata defends the Nadesico after the peace talks with the Jovians break down, and then boson jumps all the way to Mars - becoming the first ship to boson jump without the aid of a Chulip (instead using masses of Chulip Crystals). The ship's combat effectiveness is then proven when it defends the alien ruins from a massive Jovian force, but the superior Jovian numbers eventually overwhelm the ship, and it is destroyed when a Jovian Denjin mecha unit, piloted by Kannazuki XO Saburota Takasugi, boson jumps into close range and hits it with a gravity blast point blank.

ND-004 Shakuyaku

The fourth 'Nadesico' class ship, the Shakuyaku was built by Nergal in a lunar dock in secret for use in Nergal's Mars campaign. The ship followed the same basic layout as the Nadesico, with only minor external differences. It was also to have an additional module docked on the front - the 'Y' unit. This would have provided the ship with two additional Phase Transition engines and a Phase Transition Cannon - possibly the most powerful weapon ever built, it destroys space itself and can devastate entire fleets. Jovian forces attacked the facility and a cave-in crushed the Shakujaku, destroying it before it was ever launched. The Y unit was instead fitted to the Nadesico.

Eucharis description (hidden for the benefit of any who have not seen the film):
Created by Nergal using both Earth and Jovian technology, the Corvette Eucharis represents as big a leap in battleship technology as the Nadesico did when she was first created.
The ship was built as a part of Nergal's One-Man, One-Ship project - a programme to create ships and other combat vehicles that only require a single operator. Despite being a battleship as big as any other, the Eucharis only needs a single crew member, who operates the entire ship through a high-level IFS interface.
The ship is armed with four powerful gravity blast cannons, and a highly-powered distortion field that can take fire from multiple ships without buckling. Four fins extend from along the forward hull when the distortion field is active. In addition it is capable of unsupported long-range boson jumping, without the need of a chulip or a class-A Jumper. The Eucharis also employs large quantities of Batta's - drone weapons that are a descendant of the Jovian Grasshoppers - for both defence and offence. These are also controlled by the Eucharis's operator via the IFS interface.
Akito was given the Eucharis (and its operator, Lapis Lazuli) along with the prototype mecha unit Black Selena (also a product of the One-Man, One-Ship project) by Nergal, for use in his quest to retrieve Yurika Misumaru from the Martian Successors, in return for the combat data gained from his numerous battles against them. Akito used it to destroy several of their bases, including several of the space colonies in the Hisago Plan. After he defeated the leader of the Martian Successors, Akito and the Eucharis boson jump away, leaving Yurika in the care of the Nadesico-C's crew.

Akito Tenkawa's custom mecha unit, created by Nergal as part of their One-Man, One-Ship project using both Earth and Jovian technology. The Black Selena was superior to all other mecha units of the time.
The unit is coated in thick black armour, is armed with two powerful cannons that attach over the hands as extensions of the forearms, and sports a powerful distortion field that can withstand hits from battleship-grade gravity blast cannons. In addition it is the smallest vehicle to date that is capable of unsupported long-range boson jumps, at a time when the governments of both Earth and the Jovians believed no-one had the technology to build a jump-capable unit of such small size.
The black armour is removeble, and beneath is a standard-looking aestivalis frame whose design is not dis-similar to other aestivalis units of the time. In addition, with additional pieces of armour attached the unit has a fighter mode known as High Mobility Black Selena.
Nergal gave the Black Selena to Akito (along with the corvette Eucharis) for use in his fight against the Martian Successors. Akito uses it and the Eucharis to attack and destroy several bases belonging to the Martian Successors; its ability to boson jump at will to attack by surprise and vanish resulted in rumours of a "Black Ghost".

I think "Specifications with Y-Unit" below normal one should be better. Well, real reason I don't include Y-Unit in spec is just because I can't find it as for now. Or it would be something like "Total Weight - 37530 metric tons (XXXXX metric tons with Y-Unit)".

It's a while now, and I'm pretty sure we still need LOT of info and material to creat mecha section. Possibly Chris could provide us a need list so we can focus on certain area?

What I really need is for someone to go through these pages of information and organize everything into factional lists by series with specs and lineart links. The place to start would probably be the TV series, followed by the movie, then the manga and video games.

Created by Nergal using both Earth and Jovian technology, the Corvette Eucharis represents as big a leap in battleship technology as the Nadesico did when she was first created.
The ship was built as a part of Nergal's One-Man, One-Ship project - a programme to create ships and other combat vehicles that only require a single operator. Despite being a battleship as big as any other, the Eucharis only needs a single crew member, who operates the entire ship through a high-level IFS interface.
The ship is armed with four powerful gravity blast cannons, and a highly-powered distortion field that can take fire from multiple ships without buckling. Four fins extend from along the forward hull when the distortion field is active. In addition it is capable of unsupported long-range boson jumping, without the need of a chulip or a class-A Jumper. The Eucharis also employs large quantities of Batta's - drone weapons that are a descendant of the Jovian Grasshoppers - for both defence and offence. These are also controlled by the Eucharis's operator via the IFS interface.
Akito was given the Eucharis (and its operator, Lapis Lazuli) along with the prototype mecha unit Black Selena (also a product of the One-Man, One-Ship project) by Nergal, for use in his quest to retrieve Yurika Misumaru from the Martian Successors, in return for the combat data gained from his numerous battles against them. Akito used it to destroy several of their bases, including several of the space colonies in the Hisago Plan. After he defeated the leader of the Martian Successors, Akito and the Eucharis boson jump away, leaving Yurika in the care of the Nadesico-C's crew.

Lots of notes:
1. I kept the weaponslist cause I don't know a complete list of units that use those weapons.
2. There are 3 unnamed UEF tv series ships. They are probably the ones form the beginning of the first episode and the first time on Mars, but somebody will have to point out which is which.
3. We need someone to clean up the image which contains the Gekigan Frames, Jovian Robots... and the rest.
4. Units from the manga, Blank of 3 Years and Prince of Darkness are not listed under there respective factions because I don't know who they are affiliated to or I'm no sure.

If anyone can help with anything mentioned in the notes post it and I will adjust this post. Also I have some unlisted lineart on my pc at home which I'll post as soon as I get back from my vacation.

Very nice! One thing...

The 'Batta' unit you have listed under Jovians TV Series... The Batta is actually not the same as the TV series unit - this one is from the film, and is used by Akito's ship. That's the B/W screenshot, I don't know what the colour screenshot is.
