Old Imageshack links?

Old Imageshack links?
So I'm kinda new to this stuff so when I was looking through a thread for images of mechs and stuff the links were to Imageshack. The problem is that they all sent me to the homepage even though the links say they shouldn't. Is this just a thing with that website or am I doing something wrong?

Imageshack switched from free accounts to paid accounts in 2014, and deleted all free accounts that didn't switch over to paid in 2016, which would have broken all the links to Imageshack people posted here. so that is probably why they're redirecting you to the homepage. i'm not sure if you can go back with the Wayback Machine to get at that stuff.
