Hey Gundamn, I have just listened to your latest mailbag overdrive episode and heard you guys mentioning devising some written oaths for the human resistance league, so I thought I would write some.

I know this is not news but I hope you find it useful nonetheless.

And it would be great material for the old timey drama hour segment, maybe with the pacific rim theme tune playing in the background.

1. You must pledge allegiance to the Human Resistance League (HRL), and you must do your utmost to ensure that the HRL is not corrupted by robots or cyborgs alike.
2. You must to do everything in your power to protect the HRL, it's members and advance the human resistance.
3. You must never injure or kill a human unless they are robot sympathizers.
4. You are under no circumstances to become a cyborg; you must also never allow any part of your body to be inserted into a robot or mechanized doll.
5. You must not communicate with robot sympathizer.
6. You must not communicate with robots or cyborgs.
7. You must never spare a robot or cyborg. All machines that possess artificial intelligence must be destroyed.
8. You must dispose of any personal technological items that can be traced, hacked or manipulated by the Robot advance.
9. You must not use any weapon or mecha that possesses artificial intelligence.
10. You must not own cats or Roombas. Ownership of such is illegal and a serious crime that carries the punishment of execution without appeal.

North Carolina House Bill 1099, which passed unanimously on June 25th and is soon to be taken up by the state Senate, includes a variety of restrictions on how drones can be used within the state. Some of the rules, meant to address privacy issues that arise when drones are outfitted with cameras, are almost predictable, given the kinds of laws already on the books in some other states. But the North Carolina bill contains some curious aspects that I’ve not run across before, the most surprising of which is a prohibition on the use of drones for hunting and fishing.

On the one hand you have the patriotic Yeagers and a red, white, and blue Optimus Prime; on the other, you have a black bag CIA team accountable to no one and a multinational corporation that hopes to build America’s warfighting machines in Chinese factories.

The audience knows exactly who to trust in that scenario. And that’s just one of the reasons they love the Auteur of Awesome.
