Pacific Rim Uprising

I'm surprised to not have found a thread in PR2 -my apologies if there is one but I didn't found it by browsing the site.

I thought I would found a thousand commentaries on the special cameo on the final Arc of the movie.

I thought it was an unnecessary movie and certainly is not on the level of the original, but it is a fun movie - way better than the Transformer movies that it emulated on the trailers. The plot is pretty clever actually. Too many characters but the lead one's -Jake Pentacost and the scrapper girl- grow on you because they are trying to find their place in a crazy world by themselves.

Re: Pacific Rim Uprising

That cameo was of the actual The Gundam Base Tokyo attraction. http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/The_Gundam_Base_Tokyo
it has a 1:1 scale unicorn gundam in front. I also noticed that the entrance has a Anaheim Electronics sign on the building. https://www.gundamkitscollection.com/20 ... grand.html it replaced the 1:1 Rx-78-2 gundam statue.
This statue can transform in to destroy mode but Bandai decided to not set it off during it's product placement. Ironically the entire plot line in this film took a page from NGE's unit 3 being infected and the unmanned units looking like MP EVA'S but the viral take over looking just like unit %'s infection.
