So who is responsible for manufacturing the numerous high quality units seen the the First Neo-Zeon war? The units can go up against Federation/AEUG mechs, which themselves are quite powerful, and introduce transformation capabilities(Like the Gaza series, Jamru Fin, and Bawoo) are heavily weaponized( The Zssa and The Geymalk) or are immensely powerful Newtype weaponry( The Qubeley and Queen Mansa). Further than that (as has been discussed in previous forum posts) Neo-Zeon employs Mass Cloning and Cyber Newtypes. Since most of the Zeon weapons designers joined Anaheim after the war, who was responsible for the power of Neo Zeon?

It wouldn't surprise me if some of these Zeon engineers escaped with all the other people who relocated to Axis and continued work on things there. Clearly they had manufacturing capability as early as 0083 to be able to manufacture the Neue Ziel, which was designed during the OYW.

Regarding the Crossbone Vanguard, their suits were manufactured by the Buch Concern conglomerate, which included mobile suit manufacturing subsidiary Buch Aerodynamics. The Buch family that founded the conglomerate later changed their name to Ronah, so there's your connection to the Crossbones.

They manufactured their own units.
Well, mostly.
Depending on how much you accept CDA's story, they have some connections in Side 3 and other Zeon remnants.
So they likely got some help(more or less) here and there.

The only Zeon remnants not cooperative is likely the idiot Delaz who stubbornly wants to be top(he even promoted himself to Vice Admiral(OF-8) from Captain(OF-5)) just to top the rank of Kycillia(Rear admiral(OF-7)) and probably thinks he represented Gihren.(also likely in fear of others knowing he not only deserted mid battle but also spread rumours of defeat to bring a very significant amount of troops along with him for his own protection which directly led to the defeat of ABQ)
