Dagger and Windam
Dagger and Windam
So which series do you think ended up being more powerful/a better suit? I know the Windam was the successor to the Dagger series (and honestly of all the GM Expy's it most resembles an actual scaled down Gundam). However the Dagger series seemed to have far more variants to begin with , and many of those variants were quite powerful in their own right( ie the Long Dagger In Buster Colors, Duel Dagger in well Duel Colors, both equipped with Assault Shroud style Fortrestra Armor, The sinister Slaughter Dagger, and the rather odd Gunbarrel Dagger, to name a few). While the Windam seemed to fall into being a Leo stand in without many variants.

Windam is better, not sure about the newer release but the old MSiA says Windam = Strike in performance, AND actually capable of being mass produced and fielded en masse. So even if Windams might not be better than some hi-spec Daggers in raw performance, it still has equal (or just a tiny bit less) performance, while being cheaper, easier to maintain, easier to repair and all around better choice if you don't want your logistics to go to hell.
The variation Daggers just aren't as versatile. Hell the Buster Dagger for example seems to be largely supplemented by 105 Dagger with the Launcher pack. And while there are still some 105s in Destiny, Long/Duel Daggers are gone. Daggers having more variations is largely due to Alliance being relatively new to MS at the time and the development is a bit rushed.
The only Dagger that I cant see Windam replace or render irrelevant is the Slaughter Dagger, but then at that time Alliance already have more gundams for their special operation jobs.
Well there is the N DaggerN too but thats more comparable to gundams than any sort of grunts and elite grunts.

Re: Dagger and Windam
On the other hand, Windam probably dethrone Leo when it come to on screen performance .
This is because the development of Buster Dagger is 105 Dagger with Buster striker pack (Librarians later actually made one for their Hail Buster), but then they made it a new MS instead.John-Luck Pickerd wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 11:04 am Hell the Buster Dagger for example seems to be largely supplemented by 105 Dagger with the Launcher pack.
My girlfriend was a loli.
Re: Dagger and Windam
Makes sense that the Windam is the more powerful version. It looks far sturdier than the Dagger series does, and requires fewer variants because it can just attach the Striker Packs, Like its ZAFT counterpart ZAKU does with the Wizard Packs.
