The Cornelius Class?

What happened to the Cornelius Class ships after Gundam Seed? As a support ship to the Archangel they are larger and actually built with hangers to house Mobile Suits (Unlike the Drake and Agamemnon). So it seems odd the surviving ships (which are seen throughout the series in small roles) were never moved to the frontlines when the EA started mass producing mobile suits.

If you just want a ms-carrier, Agamemnon and nelsons are perfectly fine. Cornelius is a tender, not a frontline ship anyway. If they need something real special, there is always the Girty Lue class.
