Some interesting stuff about the abilities of the G-Self:

We know that the G-Self apparently has distinct abilities depending on the pilot, and we may have gotten our first glimpse of these in episodes 2 and 3. This is the ability that activates when Bellri pilots the G-Self against Cahill Saint's Grimoire - it gives off a red aura that seems to physically repel the Grimoire's punches. Meanwhile, when Aida the G-Self in episode 3, she uses a different ability that brings up a shield which reflects/absorbs the Montero's beam shots.

Interestingly, Bellri is identified by the G-Self as Aida, via eyescan - it announces "Rayhunton Code" whenever he uses it, which you can see on the monitor here, near the top of the display (and a similar eyescan by Cahill in episode 2 produces the same association - they seem to have identical, or at least very similar, ocular signatures). Aside from character implications, this causes me to wonder what exactly "Rayhunton Code" entails. Multiple abilities? Bellri with his own distinct one, despite being under the same "code" as Aida? Only time will tell! I should note that Bellri's seemed to activate on its own (ala early NTD), while Aida turned hers on deliberately, so maybe the latter is just part of the G-Self's built-in defenses.

Since I can screenshot the first few episodes and all, are there any requests for a closer look at G-Self, Recten (we see a number of variants), Catsith, Grimoire, or Montero and their respective armaments?

Thanks for sharing all of that! Yeah, the Beam Wire has been previously mentioned (at least in connection with their model kits) as something the Grimoire, Montero and G-Arcane all have. Until this footage we had no real idea what it could do.

Well...technically it does, but I dunno if you can call "being snuck up on and dispatched by the Montero's beam wire in a matter of seconds without the barest hint of fighting back" combat.

What is seriously lacking on the Grimore is its model number. The model kit boxart does not have it.

To me, that looks... fugly. Like a rejected design from a Zone Of the Enders spin-off of some kind, IMO.

But who knows, maybe in animation (and in colour) it'll be much more appealing than it looks in the lineart there...
