Another 30 pages, another new thread. Everyone knows the rules, so let's get this going with last topic's last post:

A magnificent project that releases the human race from hatred

What was Aeolia Schenberg thinking 200 years ago, involving political and business establishments, and starting a magnificent plan? The existence of the Innovades have been made clear, and with Tieria being assimilated into Veda, the summary of the plan has been roughly made clear.

At the root of this is the advance of mankind to outer space. An expected dialogue is expected from there. In short, an encounter with a different kind is interwoven in it. But, as mankind currently have disputes, Aeolia might have been worried that mankind would bring wars even to outer space, and as a result even carry on a savage war with the different kind.

In the plan, the TDS carries an important part. The Trans-am Burst scatters a high concentration of GN particles in an extensive range. And in this space, even each person who can not use QBW has the ability to have an agreement of wills. Furthermore, the next step is the evolution of the pure Innovator through the GN particles. In fact, the evolution to an Innovator when someone continues to come in contact with a high concentration of GN particles has been proven through Setsuna. With the ability of the Innovator, the brain wave [ability], an agreement of wills even without the use of words is possible, and mutual understanding is intensified. The cancellation of misunderstanding and ill will that is closely tied with dispute in human kind is something that has a high chance of happening.

On the other hand, the humanoid information terminals that Veda created called Innovades are beings who are essentially for the quickening of the change of humans to such kind. Aside from various abilities due to the possession of QBW, high physical strength and other abilities too might have been given to them for that purpose. Other than literally being creatures who blend into human society as Veda's information terminals, they know Aeolia's plan, and they exist as beings who implement it. If that is the truth, it was necessary not to be proud of their own abilities as higher than that of their position and of humans, and become beings that lead mankind.

But according to the distortion of Ribbons who called himself an Innovator, he had no other choice but to alter the plan. No, perhaps Ribbons was also trying to faithfully execute the plan in relation to leading humanity. But if that handling became triggers for dispute, you can't help to say that the his actions were wrong.

Although Ribbons and his group were defeated, many Innovades who are terminals of Veda still exist in human society, even in the new Federation Congress. Moreover, the will of Tieria is sleeping inside the Celestial Being mother ship. As a result, what can be thought of the influence of the Innovades who are left in society from hereafter?


Innovades and their Ability

The "Innovades" are living computer information terminals created by Veda. They can link with Veda using QBW using GN Particles as a catalyst, and by gene manipulation and nanomachines, their bodies' aging are controlled, among others. Innovades that have the same physical appearance is a single set, and both have a stronger relation [with each other than other types].

Quantum Brain Levels

The link of QBW users is divided according to the strength of the QBW level. Supersoldier Peries is level C, and she displays QBW abilities that is inferior to the Innovades. On the other hand, as a result of HRL's successful strengthening of the QBW, it is said that mankind displays a following of the footprints of the technique that was produced by Aeolia. Because if you look into the future, the existence of supersoldiers may be linked to Innovade development. In addition, speaking of beings who use QBW, there's Setsuna, the pure type Innovator, but his QBW level is not known. A clear standard is not known, but the possibility that his level exceeds the Innovades' can be satisfactorily considered because he exceeded the ability of Ribbons.

A huge space ship that is developed in absolute secrecy as a link to Aeolia's plan. It is said to have an overall length of 15 kilometers whose size has no particular reason to it. It was developed for the dialogue that should come. After mankind's purpose is united, it is something that should be called an ark that is prepared for the step to outer space. For that reason, every facility is prepared for long term travel. On the other hand, it has mobile suit production facilities and space warship docks, and it is also armed with huge GN Lasers that make use of pseudo-GN Drive cartridges and others, so you can call it a warship that is compatible with colony-like living.

The hull's feature is that it looks just like an asteroid, with the front part disguised as a meteorite. It is said that it is made by using an asteroid. Freezing the inside, it is said that the ship has the role of protecting the inside of the ship from harmful cosmic rays. On the other side, the tail area was furnished with a GN Drive mount, and there was a plan to use the original GN Drives as the power source of the mother ship sometime in the future. Perhaps at the start of the space exploration, the Innovades that have a long life span were planned to have gone on a long voyage, and contact with life forms on other planets may be hypothesized.

Actually, the barrel length is probably very significant in any gun like beam weapon in this series. I’ll give you 2 examples:

1)Firstly the long barrel attachment for the Original GN-X's beam rifle, which does not increase its power but only increases its range and decreases is firing rate.

2)Second example would be Cherudim's rifle, with its barrel it can fire full length of its effective range but with the barrel "kept" the weapon's range is much shorter, the main rifle funnel or "hole"[I'm not referring to the GN Vulcans on the top and bottom but the main firing barrel in the middle between them] has a much shorter firing range.

Dynames's long barrel probably has a long barrel for its long range shooting purposes although unlike my 2 examples, we do not examples of it being used with a shorter barrel unlike the 2 who have long barrel and short barrel firing modes.

Now the significance of barrels is probably needed to direct, concentrate and fire the beams. Its important to note that as long as the beam is within the barrel or the weapon, the actual weapon can still influence the beam, anything from continuing to power GNP through walls of the barrels [ensuring a powerful beam, or one that can travel further].Its important to note that once the beam leaves the weapon totally,the MS/weapon can do nothing to influence it anymore,its out there on its own with whatever the weapon has done to it.[the exception would be Ragnant and its bending beams of course]

Its also important to note that Seravee's attack are long range as well, its just that unlike Cherudim,its beams are stronger more costly and aren't necessarily done for precision in a small spot, but rather to carve up a big hole through force.


You have exceptions like 00 Raiser of course, but than again 00 does not fall into the conventional of a normal GNMS, and the particle conservative rules that normally fall under most single Drive MS probably does not apply towards 00.In my opinion,00’s equipment is designed to be to be multi specialized, take the GN Sword IIs, which can act as a solid sword, a large beam saber, a powerful cannon [with range matching Gadessa] and normal beam rifle too. When designing a normal MS,engineering that helps towards particle conservative and efficiency and trying to achieve the maximum output but with the most efficient energy costs.

However,with a suit like 00 who has an enormous large powerful perpetual powersource,these focus may be removed for a focus on multi specialization of the weapon [as in enough to match individual specialization weapons] but with little regard towards particle efficiency in the final design.For this change in focus to be justified however,the powersource must be one giant extremely powerful.........thing,which is what the Twin Drive is.Relatively it is far surpasses single Drives in GNP generation.Hell,even its description is "that it beyond common sense and theoretical boundaries" or something akin to that.

Of course, with improved technology multi specialization abilities do grow even alongside particle efficiency abilities, as such probably why the GN Sniper Rifle II and the GN Pistols now also act as better close combat abilities than their predecessors[You can also use Exia's GN Sword as an example which basically combined Astraea's prototype solid sword and beam rifle functions into one weapon]. But I think 00 takes this versatility in its design to a whole new level, being as fast as a speed suit like Masurao, having the ability to fire large long beams like Gadessa, possessing Seravee's full GN Field ability etcetc. These are specialized suits, and 00 matches them more or less equally on their specialization, but in one package.If this was chess,than 00 is a queen.One single piece having the abilities of both the bishop and the rook,and can choose which abilities to use based on which situations.

Oh,more about the Seravee's green crystal......it seems that using a focal point helps beams to become stronger it seems.The crystal probably acts as this focal point.Two examples of focal points being used to further amplify beam power are in S203,where Seravee generated a small spherical GN Field in front of its cannonsto help its beams become more bigger and powerful.The other example is in S125,wheren Alvaron was firing its large beam at Setsuna [right before Exia Trans-Amed and killed him of course].You can see the wings all fucus its edge on a focal point on which the barrel of its rifle is closely places,the charge and focus happen for a few seconds before Alvaroon firs the large beam.

That caption is in error then, at least as far as the from the point where the Ptolemy crew learns the location of Veda as at that point the CB is located on the far side of the moon which is Lagrange point 2, and not 5 which is the trailing point in the moon's orbit around the Earth at the same distance as the Earth from the Moon.

The green crystals don't just serve as the focal point though, they pretty much are the barrel in its entirety given that the interior of the cannons needs to fit the hand and saber rack, all the joints that make them work and further equipment for when the entire array splits up to become a functional arm. Not much room in there to shape a beam or do much of anything until it reaches the end. I assume the GN Field Seravee sometimes generates before firing is a way of providing an extra 'barrel' for the beam once it leaves the suit.

While we're talking Seravee, I assume there must be something similar going on with the Bazooka II since it never seems to leak particles out the bottom halves of the guns when they're split despite the open design.

I guess its not that surprising,Homeless said that this book is filled with many errors and typos when she read it.
I'd hate to sound like a buzzkill or someone trying to shoot down official material because it contradicts personal canon, but does this mean we have to take this information with a grain of salt until the numbers at least get an external confirmation? I mean, how bad did Homeless seem to think the text was in terms of errors?

Have no idea what you mean by "external confirmation".If we're going to be strict,nothing outside the animation is "official".

Typos here and there are not good of course,but its an official external source and being the latest one and 2nd in the Mechanics series makes it the more stronger one of any other "grey" external sources for now,which we of course derive alot of info from,infact some of the info its retconning all came from other grey sources anyhow,like the CB Gundam Generations and the Innovedo specifications.

The L3 and L5 thing,we can disregard because of the anime already state it,and the anime being "white" material will easily beat it,and of course animations are official.

But anything else,we're going to have to take this one as the latest retcon.Examples of retcon I know including Cherudim,Arios,Seravee,seraphim relegated to 3.5 Generation from 4 [mentioned in 2307-2312 Mission Complete];the 5 Original GN Drive slots on The Celestial Being is now I think mentioned to be housed in one location now[Previously they were mentioned in 2307-2312 Mission Complete to be housed in a different manner.One slot on each of CB's wing I think and 2 slots together in the center];as well as some Innovedo classifications,I think Anew and Regene are Terminal Types,though my memory not too sure about this one.

The Gaga thing is a bit in doubt for now.The book mentions they are only 100 of them,but I swear in animation they're numbers swell up to much more than that.We may have to wait until SEIII to see whether the planners of the series have some sort of plan to change that.[It may be possible that the info presented here in regard to the Gagas may be to fit any large changes in numbers that they will make in SEIII which is coming out soon,though maybe it could just be wrong]

Prolonged exposure to GN Particles provides the evolutionary step towards Innovation in a human, but in order to effectively synchronize the QBW's of the pilot it requires that the GN-Drives themselves be in synch with his QBW's initiating the GN Trans-Am Boost Mode. That within itself seems to spread the QBW's synched effective range. But I wonder if that is actually the case with the 00 and 01 GN Drives or if it is the same with all the drives. If in the event that the Gundam 00 Raisers Twin GN-Drive System became synched with the GN ouput of the other GN Drives and the "will's" of the other respective Gundam Meisters then what would be the effective range and the result consequence of such.

As mentioned before in this post the asteroid that hosts Veda was designed to link with the other GN Drive in order to help power it own GN-Drive. That also makes me think that there could be a reason as to why Veda has such a long gun barrel and why the Trans-Am Boost System was created. When Setsuna activated the Trans-Am Boost Mode he released enough purified GN Particles to surround the entire body of the Moon and further then that. Just think what would happen if six (I'm including the Gundam 0's own solar furnace in to this count) QBW synched GN-Drives entered a Trans-Am Boost while synched to their respective Meisters QBW and channeled their purified GN Particles into Veda's firing control.

That massive gun barrel could be pointed at Earth and while utilizing Veda's own GN-Drive as an amplifier, it could fire a massive load of purified GN Particles straight at Earth enveloping if not drowning the planet and it's orbital platforms and all of humankind in field of pure GN particles providing humanity with the direct means to evolve in to Innovators. However that leaves the colonies in the Lagrange Points themselves where humans might be isolated from such activities, however Aeolia Schenberg was primarily responsible for the development of solar power generators which possibly means that the orbital platforms, the colonies, and the solar generation systems could channel the purified GN particles. What do you think?

A few minor points:
1. It's not "Trans-Am Boost Mode", it's "Trans-Am Burst"
2. "The asteroid that houses Veda", which you call Veda in your post, is not Veda. Veda is the glowing blue giant disco ball that was floating in Ribbon's living room. The "asteroid" is a colony-class ship, and its name is "Celestial Being", like the organization.
3. We don't even know what that skinny metal thing is that's sticking out the back end of the Celestial Being. We don't know if it's a barrel, a propulsion unit, or if it's just there because it looks cool that way.

With that said, interesting theory. I certainly think it's a reasonably plausible explanation as to what its original intended purpose was before Ribbons turned it into his personal midget Death Star.

Well, there is an issue with the idea that Celestial Being could have six drives, namely that there aren't six drives, only five. I'm not sure where this magical sixth drive came from but the ship certainly didn't have one lying around or Ribbons wouldn't have been so excited to get his hands on one of 00's.

Also, while I buy the theory that the ship's antenna-looking thing might have been intended to channel Trans Am Burst's particles en masse (could be for other things but it's not an unreasonable idea at all), I doubt that the bit about the solar power system and colonies channeling said particles has any merit. Aeolia only devised the theoretical basis for the system. He'd have no way of making it so that the structures built several centuries after his (apparent) death would conform to his specifications or the means to force the powers to conform. CB may be big but not big enough to infiltrate three superpowers to the extend that secretly altering the designs of a planet-spanning orbital complex would require. This also raises the question of how he could have planned the black box Trans Am, TDS and Trans Am Burst technologies when no Drives existed in his lifetime but... maybe he's just that smart.

personally, i would like to believe that he was awakened from his cryogenic state during the development of the GN Drives, and returned to his cryogenic state after overseeing the creation of the GN Drives.

didn't multiple other scientists disappear? I think it's safe to say that they were able to read Aeolia's notes correctly and come up with a working design for the GN drives. IIRC the databook stated that in Aeolia's lifetime everything was just theoretical at best, but scientists probably created the GN drives based on the research he left behind.

This has been bugging me for awhile. Does the Reborns Gundam and Seraphim Gundam have rotating cockpits? It looks like when they're fighting, they seem to be looking forward towards the battle. Or do they just fight in fixed cockpits looking one direction whether it be backwards or forward? Thanks in advance.

Seraphim's cockpit (or at least the pilot) moves between the machines. It goes from the upper front, down to the gut, to the other machine, and back up. I'd think there'd a better use for all of that space.

Donno about Reborns though.

I think the explanation for the moving cockpit is that Seraphim doesn't have enough internal space to accomodate a rotating cockpit that would allow Tieria to sit in it and face forwards the entire time. It's a pretty compact design after all. Now, you could argue that a moving design takes up even more space (and wastes a bunch in both suits) but that's what the writers went with.

For Reborns, we don't really know but given that most of what goes on in Cannon form is just spamming the Fang cannons and then switching back it wouldn't surprise me if there was just a fixed cockpit and Ribbons faces backwards in Cannon mode. There's definitely not enough room inside the design for a Seravee-style moving cockpit since the Cannon backpack is entirely taken up by the sensor 'head' and the thruster array. Also, given that all the pilots see is determined by sensor input, it would be trivial to get the screens to display a forward view even if the pilot was actually facing the other direction. Whether this would be disorienting when the pilot sees he's moving one way while inertia tells him a different story is another matter.

IIRC, the cockpit for Seraphim is in the chest, under the red orb-thingy. And IIRC, it's just the seat that moves, not the entire cockpit.

In my opinion,for Reborns the cockpit just turns around 180 degress.Reborns does not actually separate unlike Seraphim.Either that or it employs a similar seat transfer mechanism to the other cockpits,although he'll have to change seats THAT often then if its the case,different from Seraphim who only has to do it once upon seperation which does not happen very often.

We know there has to be some sort of cockpit rotation installed though,probably in all directions;it will probably require alot of space though.When Setsuna was piloting in S203 with Marina inside it,Marina's hair falls down like normal,even though the 00 was slightly tilted at the front.

Still,I think the Union and AEU cockpit can rotate vertically,so I'll be surprised if the Gundams do not have it even if it looks very hard to employ [visually I mean it looks hard to employ],especially in the 3rd Generations.

New pictures of the movie suits here.

Liking the changes to Zabanya so far. Looks like the cockpit of Harute might be in the (small) segment of the torso that folds upwards. Also, judging by the forearms it might keep Arios' beam machineguns. Raphael... doesn't look changed to me but we don't see it too clearly. Also, we get our first look at the Flag successor and some GN-X's with big guns.

DUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!! That "GN Flag", for lack of a better term as of yet, looks AWESOME!! I also noticed that it seems to, like the Masurao/Susanowo, have two GN Drives...I wonder though, whether it's a simple dual-Drive, or a true Twin-Drive...Probably the former.

Harute looks cool, but weird. Oh well...I'll wait until I actually see the movie.
Zabanya looks badass - though the green "boxes" (missile pods?) on its shoulders remind me of HeavyArms, and the shape of its waist is exactly identical to that of Dynames. Raphael hasn't changed color-wise nearly as much as I expected, from what we can see, though apparently it looks like its torso color will match that of Tieria's flight suit - which none of his previous units did, though all of the other Meisters' did.

Damn, That GN Swords looks really cool, looks like the most sleek GN sword in Exia line..Zabanya stripes in the mouth has gone.Harute with more white and yellow. Raphael seems return to the concept with more purple accent in the suit, and maybe it's just me but the white seems bit more purple-ish.GN Bazooka also returns BTW (and that screen. Time for GN Rolling Cannon now eh?? :mrgreen: ).New Flag is awesome ,nuff said.Can't tell much about the GN-X'es except, wow it's green now( although there's one in grey in the corner of the screen). Can't wait to see 'em in motion...

Qan[T] is standard hero unit stuff. i wonder if its sword has a gun/rifle mode.

Zanbaya is officially an one man army. i guess that its rifle can separate into two parts for storage. maybe the base is a sub machine gun! taking Cherudim SAGA to its logical conclusion.

Harute is gonna dual wield obviously. and there is some green under the gun, a gunblade?

Raphael sure look like a MA... with flying bricks that shoots laser. :mrgreen:

how is that GN Flag name was spelled again? Eskibo? two of my favorite suits combine into one = WIN.

lastly is the GN-X IV. pic too small to comment. but seems to have a really cool rifle.
