That's a good point. I'm generally in favor of citing mythical magic automata such as Talos and the Golem of Prague as the forerunners of the concept of the robot, but I left them out of the list for the same reason I left real-world automata and modern robots... they just didn't seem to be the same type of thing that I was already listing, and I was tired.

Honestly, I was expecting more people to point out things I've missed. This really isn't all, and I know I thought of a few that I didn't bother to mention because I didn't find them that important, or just because I don't know much about them (like, doesn't Fallout have powered suits too? that Fallout super robot was something my friend mentioned while I was making the list).

yeah Fallout has a number of powered armors available for the player and in Fallout 3 PA is used as the games "heavy armor".

but seriously we're starting to stray from the primary question of the post of the hieghts of these units.
