The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

This is our official thread, once and for all, for finding out what that mysterious mecha you found is called and where it's from. If you have a mecha you can't identify, please post it here where hopefully someone who knows will answer your question. We have some rules, of course:

-Please post a picture of the mecha in question. You'd think that would be obvious to everyone, but you'd be surprised and perhaps saddened to discover that no, no it is not.

-Don't start other threads about identifying mecha. Other threads will be locked and redirected here.

-Don't double post to get attention. Once you post, just sit back and wait for someone who knows what the mecha is to comment. If nobody knows, then, well, nobody knows.

-Don't comment on the mecha in question. That will clog this thread up in a hurry. Just ask your question, or answer someone else's question.

-Don't be jerks. Or I'll kill you. =D

Thanks, and happy pondering.

The black machine is a Type J-9 Griffon equipped with the underwater operations backpack. I knew it was a Labor just by looking at it but I couldn't figure out which one and I had to look it up first.

I remmeber taking a trip to China one time, and seeing a new series of transforming robots, I brought a bunch of the toys home with me from that trip.

Basically, they were train themed robots, but only the front car transformed into a robot. The designs were kiddy-kinda SD Gundamish.

SD-ish transforming train robots? Sounds like Hikarian.

Could be wrong but that looks like just very good fanart. See elements from at least half a dozen other mechs in it.

I was thinking it was fanart too, but I swear that "G" on it's shoulder looks so familiar. That's what was throwing me off about it.

Nightwing you are my favorite person for this week. Could you post a link to a site where there might be more pics or post some more yourself? I really like those things.

I agree with Toxicity, that last one is especially cool. Looks like an Orbital Frame or something.

This thread isn't for commenting on mecha, it's just for identifying them.

It hasn't even been two pages yet, guys. ><

I think that's the Zeta II, I think it was a Zeta Gundam design that was never used in animation.

Does Mahq not have any sort of file for it? I looked through the Zeta Gundam section and couldn't find it?

It sure does, look for it under Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit Variations.
