I know Derrick's in the Hamburg right now, but I don't know what I want him to DO, you know? I'm one of the newer characters, and newer RPers, and as a result, Derrick doesn't really have anyone else he could have a developmental dialogue with.

Any suggestions, fellas?
well, kou and paris are currently assisting the mechanics with getting the nemo's repaired in the hangar, maybe he could be doing the same and could strike up a conversation with one or both of them

otherwise yeah, bobs' suggestion of having him punch someone in the face will work, god knows there are quite a few characters that are in need of one

Since Cardi is currently sick and probably wallowing around in his own filth we're going to extend the current threads again.

Went ahead and posted. Hopefully Kou and Paris won't mind too much that Derrick was listening in on their conversation.

Yeah, we're waiting on Fritz at the moment. He also needed to make a map for this final battle, which has added to the delay, and has that law school crap keeping him rather busy. And football season started...

I talked to Fritz yesterday, and he hopes to be able to post the final thread later this week. Assuming, that is, wonton doesn't abduct him again.

And after this "final" thread, we'll be transitioning from Zeta to Sentinel, right? Will we still be using the "Tales from the Frontlines" name, or a new title? I assume that most of the characters from TftF that survive will be in it, provided they WANT to participate, right?

I figured I post this here, since it has to do with the rpg. I've been wondering for some time how do you guys assign mobile suits to players ? Do you let players choose the mobile suit there piloting, or is the player given what ever is available ? For instance some one starting with the A.E.U.G is assigned either to a nemo, or rick dias. On the other side a Titan would be assigned to a hizack, or marasai. The player would then move up to newer models, as they become available. I'm just curious on how this works in such an rpg.

The players don't pick, we assign them to MS mainly based on which ship we are assigning them to, and to a slightly lesser extent, the character themselves. The ships have their various MS teams, and it wouldn't make sense to have, say, the AEUG's Rick Dias scattered across three or four ships when they can be on just one (Think of all the supply problems invovled). The characters also obviously matter, because we wouldn't want to assign a rookie kid with no combat experience to a Rick Dias over someone who fought in the war, or something like that.

The way we then move people to different MS is a bit of a different situation, as much dependant on the character in question, the player themselves, and story stuff, not to mention what MS we have on hand and where there are openings and so on and so forth.

And that's really just scratching the surface of it. 8)

Good news, everyone!

I'll be posting this week, and we can finally get on with this sh...ining example of time management.

In other good news I actually did law-talking-guy business this week and have confirmed I am not, in fact, worthless at my chosen profession. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be a thousand-aire ready to pay off literally hundreds of dollars of his crushing student loan debt, baby.

Dolk better live, he's my personal favorite here.

Also, are we allowed to call shots a la Maelstrom?

Yes, this is a free-fire battle. Minor NPCs and unrelated cannon fodder flying around are free game.
