Lol, said the same thing when I randomly woke up in the middle of the night... not a smart thing to look at when your eyes have yet to adjust to light, ~_~

KIRA☆~KIRA☆~

I'm sure that pose is common in anime, but that gif is just so damn cute.

First, take a look at this scan.

Take a good look. Let what you are seeing slooooooowly register with your mind.

Registered yet? Okay, good.

Now realize that it's just an article about the franchises that people want to see in Super Robot Wars, but will never be in Super Robot Wars for various reasons.

Yes, you may weep now.

Just... as I did...

The second one from the top on the left hand side looks somewhat out of place among the others IMO.

You mean the one with the hair and antennas, right? I'm not even sure what that is.

It's Ambassador Magma by Osamu Tezuka. Most notable for being the first "transforming" mecha.

Anybody help identifying the others? Aside from this fella I can only identify movie Optimus Prime and Tetsujin-28/Gigantor.
Well, I guess I'm a nobody...

He's at the topmost left corner - I was referring to the one directly underneath him: Michael Bay's Optimus Prime, from the otherwise-forgettable movies.

Got the first Megazord we saw in the US, and the red and yellow guy with the elaborate crest under Megazord is Fire Dagwon...

I recognize the Kobou from Sakura Taisen, an AC from Armored Core, the PTX from Lost Planet, and the knight from White Knight Chronicles.

Massive Xabungle spoiler, but I'll post it anyway: The Manliest Real Robot Ever.
Nah. The creators behind Destiny aren't nearly that creative.
It could have just been a wink to the previous timeline.

It's more common than you think...

Old, I know. But still makes for a good chuckle.

For a second there, I thought it was covered in candy. Eradicating war...with sweets?
