Recoloring Tutorials

Does anyone know of-or could make a tutorial on recoloring images?mainly lineart. And I know there's the ace people in the custom lineart thread who can help with recolors but I want to be able to do it for myself

Oh and if you could also suggest software to use aswell, preferably freeware but not essential, I don't mind paying for software as long as it's good value.

I don't know much of anything about recoloring stuff, but I do know what kind of free program there is.

GIMP - Gnu Image Manipulation Program. It's like a free photoshop.

Downloaded that, now I've just got to figure out how to work it.

Anyone know how to use GIMP?

Here you go, a tutorial with ACDsee, although it could be used with Photoshop aswell. Possibly GIMP if it has Hue/Colour/Multiply brush modes.

I'm pretty sure you have to pay for it, but i didn't...my brother did. But i just checked GIMP and you can do the exact same thing.
