Re: Old Timey Drama Hour Submission Thread

We can dance if we want to We can leave your friends behind 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well they're no friends of mine I say, we can go where we want to A place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world Leave the real one far behind An...

Re: Game Club: The Walking Dead

During the Enlightenment, a long-standing debate emerged as to what was the origin of society: the family, based on filial and emotional bonds or the war-band, based on force of arms and personality. This episode highlights the arguments for both of these in the form of the bandits and the crazy red...

Re: Game Club: The Walking Dead

This series is the best thing Telltale has ever done, and one of the best things to come out the medium ever. I say this now because it might seem like I don't like it over the next few months. The interface actually manages to turn QTEs into something more tense than a typical horror title while st...

Re: Ep. 062: Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy

I love everything Edgar Wright has done. No qualifications, no complaints. The man has a sharp eye for cuts, great comedic chops and enough straight-up filmaking chops to sell the genres he's riffing on. I met Shawn of the Dead when it made it to dvd, whereupon we watched it to death with every frie...

so rapidfire thoughts on all these movies I have seen: Dooomsday: that comic arc had two things, a really boring fist fight between a boring antagonist and a poorly written superman and the entire DCU reacting to the death of their greatest icon. this movie had a Kevin smith in-joke. boo-urns JL:NF:...

Re: Sp. 025 - Kickstarter Crisis!

I'm super looking for forward to how this campaign turns out. I hope crowdfunding becomes a viable option for niche titles and reissuing vintage series like this. The run-off voting for excess funding sounds really interesting, but i don't think it captures the 'omg must up my pledge' feeling of mor...

Re: Ep. 057: Agents of SHIELD

I haven't been folow AoS too closely lately (two or three episodes behind), but it seems like 60 percent of the bitching online is that it wasn't the 'cameos, easter eggs and backdoor pilots hour' they wanted it to be and cannot adjust to a genre-flavoured procedural show that is attached ramora-lik...

Re: Ep. 056: Man of Steel & The Wolverine

So I have two real complaints for Man of Steel. 1. the action scenes needed some moments to breathe. the last act of Avengers has just as much punching and splosions but after a long sequence will stop for second, usually for a physical comedy bit at the expense of an Asgardian. 2. right before the ...

Five Fists of Science is an actual comic. it's pretty good. I suppose it qualifies for a gundamn review as it does feature Tesla and Twain using a giant robot to stop Lovecraftian monsters summoned by Edison.

never been a big fan of this franchise, never had access to consoles back in the day and I never had the patience for the difficulty when introduced to methods. but still entertaining to hear Chris and Pedro riff on the topic. Join Mr Mark Twain (aka Samuel Clemens) and Mr Nikola Tesla (aka The Master Lightning) in a white-knuckle thriller as they save the very world. Not recommended for the soft of the sissy, the weak at heart or the dull of mind. The Five Fists of Science! Twain! Tesla! America: You cannot spell 'Action...
