Re: Episode 27 - Transition [4th]

-- Dervish -- -Pilot's Quarters- In the two weeks since Maelstrom, things have quieted down gradually for Wes. He's already dealt with the work involving the transfer of Team 3's newcomer as well as Terraces' untimely demise. He's even authorized handing over his team's only S-Type Rick Dias over to...

Re: What's Your Current Anime? Mk III

Only picked up Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai (long title is long...) for the spring season. Thus far it's turning out to be a pretty nice slice of life show; some moments really hit home and I've only watched one episode. I almost shed a manly tear. Almost.

Re: Episode 26 - Operation Maelstrom

-- Dervish -- - Hangar - Wes let out a sigh of relief when the trio of blue mobile suits retreated, and quickly afterward their own orders to retreat came from the Dervish . He managed to survive this time, though unfortunately he couldn't say the same for his team. From what he understood from surv...

Re: Infinite Stratos

Meh, not enough Charlotte in the last few episodes. As a result I didn't find the finale all that enjoyable. But in all seriousness, it was fun while it lasted. If they make a sequel, great, but I'm not expecting anything. They wrapped things up better than I thought they would (but still not great ...

Re: Episode 26 - Operation Maelstrom

-Team 3- In his panic to take down the three mobile suits after the Balrampur's destruction, Wes stupidly split his attention on two targets. And before he knew it, he was being attacked by all three of them. Just his luck... With his attention being split on three machines, Curren didn't even have ...

Re: Episode 26 - Operation Maelstrom

- Team 3 - The events leading to the Balrumpur's sinking simply happened too quickly for Curren to react. One moment he was focused on the three incoming blue mobile suits, the next he was caught off-guard by the brilliant explosion that encompassed the area where the Salamis Kai's bridge once was. ...

Oh so you like filler.

So you like crappy, rushed endings that resolve absolutely nothing?

Re: Infinite Stratos

Merely 3 epsidoes doesn't feel like nearly enough time to bring out some big event, develop it, and conclude it with finality without feeling extremely rushed and unsatisfying for the viewers. The problem is, there have been shows that have done exactly that. Rushed/unsatisfying endings in anime is...

Re: Infinite Stratos

For a show I picked up randomly for the winter season, this is turning out to be rather enjoyable. I just wish it wasn't relegated to only 12 episodes, which basically means the fun's over after the next 3 weeks. The novels haven't finished yet, so hopefully a second season could come around in the ...

Re: Episode 26 - Operation Maelstrom

-- The Dervish -- -Hangar- Wes had spent all of the pre-launch prep time in his idling B-Type, slowly calming himself down. Normally cooling his nerves wouldn't be much of a problem before a battle. This time was different, way different, and he needed the extra isolation to "fix" his grow...

Re: Kamen Rider Double(W)

Well its all over now. Thoughts anyone? Overall I'd say it was a really good show. Best of the Heisei in my opinion. The finale more-or-less ruined the climax from the previous episode. I mean, after all that hard work (including Phillip sacrificing his very existence) to save her, Wakana goes and ...

Re: Episode 25 - Recall [4th]

--Ready Room 3-- Wes leaned back on his seat in the empty room, watching the screen that displayed the battle routine for Maelstrom. It felt odd being in a quiet team room after hanging around Team 2 for so long, but it was a welcome change. Eddie had his ways of relaxing before a major operation, a...

Random Mecha/Anime Image Thread, 9th Issue

New thread, same old randomness. Try not to repost images, because that wouldn't be very random would it?

On another note, we kept ShadowCell from posting up the Great Degwin for a year. Let's keep it up. :P

Re: Episode 24 - Deadly Vortex [4th]

--Mess Hall-- Wes paid little attention to the chatter that went on at his table as he continued to glance over the papers. He wasn't sure why, considering the plan hasn't changed much from when Eddie had him look through the entire briefing himself earlier (frankly, this was perhaps only time all t...

Re: 4th Gundam Fight: Final Gambit: Discussion thread.

But what exactly do Search and Adaptability do for a Mobile Fighter, and why do Gundam Fighters actually *need* them? Search should be pretty straightforward as well. It's pretty much a measure of the Gundam's sensor systems and ability to locate enemies at varying ranges. The higher the search sta...

Neo California would probably have the Hills..
Make that Neo Hollywood and I'll refrain from making Neo Ohio jokes. I like to think of that botox'd and bimbo'd region as a place completely separate from the great nation of Neo California.
