Was Soma using practice rounds? If so, those gravity blocks must be really fragile.

And was anyone else awed by the detailed picture of Exia during the sponsor announcement?

I have to agree that the whole thing in Ireland seemed pretty forced. I can't imagine a 400 year conflict ending because CB just demoed their suits to the world. The fight scenes were pretty poor. Sergei and Graham were so confident yet their tactics were so lackluster. Neither seemed to be aces to ...

I got the impression that the Exia was on roller skates or something. But I would think that someone like Setsuna who's grown up on a battlefield and witnessing tragedies occur everyday would show more composure and discipline during a battle. But that would make it too much like FMP wouldn't it :wi...

I like the premise of the 3 factions being in a stalemate and fighting for control over the elevator. In fact, with the current situation, CB seems to be more of a villain than any other side.

So is the plan is to unite the 3 factions by giving them a mutual enemy to hate? Sounds a bit iffy to me.

So do you guys think that the only viable theme for all future Gundam series is "eradicating war"? From a marketing standpoint, for Bandai to appeal to the large proportion of impressionable children, it seems unlikely they will ever move to a more mature and less-idealistic theme. I heard...

Because he was voiced by T.M. Revolution.

Is it okay to get any of the Iwata Revolution brushes (ie, the cheapest one available at my local hobby shop)?

Is there any particular compressor you would recommend for beginners?

Thanks ulnhyrr (and everyone else).

Geez, I'm up to episode 20 of SRW: OG and NOW they decide to license it!? Couldn't they have waited another month so that we leechers could download the whole series? Now I have to wait until October for them to finish the OVA, then wait until they churn out 6 DVDs at 3 episodes a disc before ...

Is the MG GP01 that bad?

I saw on dalong.net that the MG GP01 received a score of 63. Now I know it's an old model, but that kind of score implies that it falls apart the moment you sneeze. I've heard issues with the GP01FB many times on these forums, yet it still received a somewhat respectable score of 88. Can the GP01 be...

Well, I wouldn't normally compare these with Bandai's kits, but since I've already seen it I can't pretend I havn't :D

Thanks ulnhyrr. So how long should I wait for the top-coat to dry? I mean, inevitably using something to support a part will mean some area won't be sprayed the first time around. Is it OK to stick the area thats just been sprayed onto the sticky tape immediately? Won't that affect how the top-coat ...

When applying top-coat, I hear it's best to take the model apart into its main components (hands, forearms, shoulders, etc) before spraying to ensure the entire model is evenly coated. How do some of you guys hold those individual pieces up when spraying? Do you use blu tack with a toothpick or some...

Thanks alot! ! ! Huckebein, here I come! 8) Edit: By the way, how are the kits? My experience on modeling is only limited to the Bandai Gundam kits, and I'm kinda wondering if there would be a major difference - - i.e. manuals not being as simple to follow as Bandai's; quality ain't as good; and et...

Thinner and Cement

Hi, I've been reading some tutorials about airbrushing and painting in general and was wondering what was the purpose of mixing paint with thinner? Is it just to make the paint easier to apply? What's the ratio of thinner and paint? Do the color charts that come with a model imply a thinner is used?...
