Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
well the designs of the new suits are cool, the GNX IV looks more like a threat than any GNX before. and the brave series looks cool as well however i am wondering something. leaving out the GNX series, wich was a ripp off from CB tech, so far the fed's own original MS were the Ahead, which was bas...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
Hmmm...I wonder if they'll show any of the pilots that aren't Graham of the Brave units and if they will be aces. Kinda like the rebirth of the Overflags. However if they name them as a baseball joke I will facepalm. We don't need the Atlanta Braves in Gundam. This also brings me to another thought...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
How is the blue one a command type its not red nor does it have a horn really now. Nope, it doesn't have a horn: it has two of them. Hm. I really like the GN-XIV: it's like a simplified Superbia, and it feels like more of an advancement than the GN-X to the GN-XIII. As for the Brave… not too...

Yeesh. That's… um… thorough. A little frightening how dogmatic he is, but I suppose a lot of Celestial Being is like that. I also like that it makes CB a bit more grey (I haven't read any of the side stories, so my knowledge of Celestial Being's activities is mostly limited to the TV show), always n...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
I was thinking that it could be them counting on a lack of reliable radar in the hands of insurrectionists coupled with the visual distortion effects of heat waves in the desert or even the irregular terrain. Though, really, counting on people writing your giant robot off as a mirage until it's too ...

Ah, right. Thanks.Chris wrote:In SEED the moon is briefly featured as the site of the Earth Alliance base where the Dominion launches from, and later where the fleet launches from that gets toasted by GENESIS.

Re: Artificial Gravity on Zeon battleships
Yes, but I haven't seen Zeta, ZZ, Victory, Wing, X, or Turn A, or a number of other smaller things set on the moon. I don't remember if the moon was an actual location in Gundam SEED, and I don't think it factored at all into 0080 or F91, and I barely remember watching the original MSG eight or nin...

Re: Artificial Gravity on Zeon battleships
Now, speaking of artificial gravity… can we bring up the moon? I've only seen the moon used three times in Gundam: Char's Counterattack, 0083, and Gundam 00. I think you need to look back at things again, since the moon has been featured in almost every Gundam production to date. Yes, but I haven't...

Re: Artificial Gravity on Zeon battleships
~snip~ That is all very cool. To be honest, I think a moon-like gravity would work, especially if these ships have to interact with lunar cities. And while I think crews would have to deal with a bit of readjustment to go from 1/6 g to 1 g for Earth or a space colony, that's a lot better than havin...

Re: Artificial Gravity on Zeon battleships
The White Base seems to have an internal revolving drum to create artificial gravity (location #10 in the drawing). If that's the habitation block, then what do they do when White Base is in an atmosphere? They can't just rotate the whole block to put it flat, the rooms would be all wonky. I mean, ...

Re: Nanoha FORCE Next ("Nanoha MSV"?)
one question: how's someone is suppose to shoot that thing? or do we have another Squall here? :? If it's a Belkan-style device, then that's the cartridge system: compressed cartridges of magic that allow for either powerful quick attacks or easily charging of magic spells. Nanoha and Fate both als...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
Random speculation on the purple GN particles.. Maybe they are higher energy Tau particles or something. Just basing my idea on the UV spectrum :P But at the same time it'd mean they are higher power than Green particles.. so maybe not. Well, doesn't the 00 Gundam have blue-green particles? It'd ma...

Re: Arc Generator?
In the sequel, of course, Tony Stark creates a new element by building a makeshift particle accelerator in his basement. Compared to that, cold fusion is a no-brainer. Eh, I can accept him making a functional particle accelerator on a whim. I just find it amusing that he made one powerful enough to...

Re: Arc Generator?
Considering the Arc Reactor uses a Palladium core, it's very unlikely that its power comes from fusion. Briefly, nuclear power comes from the release of a sort of... nuclear potential energy, which is determined by the balance between attractive nuclear forces and repulsive electrostatic forces (nu...

Re: Arc Generator?
If we're talking about the Arc Reactor from Iron Man, then we really don't know. Presumably it's some sort of fusion device, and we know it can generate metric craptons of power, but besides that it's basically just applied phlebotnium, much like minovksy reactors and GN Drives.

Probably because they're doing it intentionally, saving the 00Q stuff for later. Up to know we've seen them all in action except 00Q. 00Q could also be a late addition to the battle scene for whatever reason, looks like they're already in heavy combat when it enters the scene and Ian looking concer...

Re: Crime and punishment...IN SPACE!
Wasn't Amuro under more or less house arrest during Zeta? Yes, he was. The series itself never gave a real reason for it beyond the Earth Federation being paranoid about his newtype abilities. To be fair, if I was the Federation, I'd be a little worried about this genius ace who basically won my wa...

Re: Crime and punishment...IN SPACE!
AD shows prisons, like the one Allejuah was held at, and the A-Laws use of slave labor, though we don't know how widespread that practice is, given that as far as I know, we only see them doing it that one time. Also, if you're important to the plot, you will be personally rescued by a giant robot ...
