Re: The SE Project and its fate
No, it's in alternate timeline. There is no such thing as an "alternate timeline". Please, show me where Gundam publications state "代替のタイムライン" or "異なる時間軸 " or something of the sort. This mentality that the community thinks there is some bizarre secondary timeline for t...

Re: Gundam 0083 Rebellion manga
Yes. Reading something quite literally gave you cancer. I'm glad that the short stint of a minor mecha had that profound of an impact on your life.

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I
One thing that I noticed in this movie (Origin: Clash at Loum ) was that the colony used during operation British was just sent to crash to Earth with no escort. In other versions of this (games like Journey to Jaburo, Zeonic Front, Ghiren's Greed) and even in the original tv series it shown that t...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I
I was pleased to see further destruction scenes during the colony drop in episode 5... but we have some new mechanics I hope they explain. Anyone remember that weird boxed shape ship from the original series? I guess that design is official now... http://zeonic-republic.net/random/strange_ship.jpg T...

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I
Deathzealot: The Pegasus II class ships have a lot of elbow room; the Feddies are not as comfortable with life in a metal tube. :P that being said the anime is definitely going for cinematic space versus actual space in some scenes. I don't mind if it means I have a clear view of events. Where did ...

Re: The Official Gundam Twilight AXIS Anime Thread Mk I
Apparently what was posted on the site is all that was created... So even Japan only has 4 chapters? Do we know for sure that's all or has Sunrise just been tight-lipped about it? Part 1 of Chapter 5 has become available to the Gundam Fanclub in Japan so give it a couple of weeks and it'll end up o...

Re: [Ship Mystery] - Biscay-class Transport
Interesting suggestion, but if this is the site you're referring to, I'm afraid it mixes info actually published on books (or other reference material, also quite obscure... see for instance teh Garonne ship, directly taken from the Z Gundam gamebooks) with fan-made speculations, and as far as I ca...

[Ship Mystery] - Biscay-class Transport
Well, I'm stumped. In translating the latest Anaheim Laboratory Log, they mention a mysterious transport that is affiliated with Anaheim. This is none other than the Biscay -class (ビスケー級輸送艦). Googling around pulls up some interesting information on some Japanese sites (one which has an exhaustive li...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I
Just saw the latest PV put up online by GundamInfo and I'm perplexed by some things. I'm wondering if Sunrise ordered these new fangled "Engrish" renditions of preexisting terminology or not, but they don't sit well. "Space Strike Fleet" for 宇宙攻撃軍 and "Armored Assault Force&...

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I
This episode seemed entirely too rushed... The detail of the manga was completely lost in this episode. The quality in animation drops every other scene. One second Io looks like a little 12 year old kid and the next he's back to adulthood. The manga design didn't translate to animation well. Bianca...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV
Some interesting tidbits of information from an interview with Tatsuyuki Nagai in Ace. More when I get better copies. - Orga's death was initially planned to be a little earlier. - Ride's ending was decided during the first season. He went to earth right after their destruction. - Montag is McGillis...

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I
How does anyone here think of the scene between the golden-trimmed Zaku (Royal Guard?) and the GM at the beginning of the episode? I just don't understand why didn't the Zaku pilot make a conscious retreat to the nearest cover - standing right there and shooting at an enemy you know your bullet won...

The Official Gundam Twilight AXIS Anime Thread Mk I
News broke this morning that the internet is attempting to dismiss regarding the Twilight Axis novel (serialized on the Yatate Bunko website) has been greenlit as an anime. The information comes from a strange Japanese source claiming that it will become publicly known before AnimeJapan happens. We'...

[Interview] - The Case for Gundam F91 - Settling Rumors
In light of a recent review of Gundam F91 on the AnimeNewsNetwork, I decided to look into some of the strange rumors that have been circulating the net about F91's production: rumored staff rifts, what the series was supposed to be like, etc. I settled on an interview with Kouichi Inoue which seems ...

The book scan that you linked to on the Wiki is from a doujinshi and probably shouldn't be taken as anything remotely accurate in terms of world building/mechanical info. But, that's the Wiki for ya.

The game design is considerably different than the manga version. It's not a matter of the power cables.
