Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors XI

I don't know. Normally we would have seen the NGs of the 00 movie a year ago, and there's nothing in the pipe for any series now. I would have loved to get the other 00 Gundams in 1/100, but they've only been released in 1/144. This is a noticeable change from a couple years ago.

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors XI

No Grade, High Grade, whatever. The line was where we could get, in recent years, near MG quality kits in 1/100 scale that will probably never get the MG treatment.

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors XI

I guess Bandai has abandoned the 1/100 HG line at this point. That's unfortunate.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk 1

I'm going to agree with some of the others here, mech stuff looks pretty nice, but not a fan of the human character designs. Then again, I didn't like the character designs of Sym-bionic Titan either, but it was a great show.

Re: The Official Gundam 00 Anything Thread Mk VIII

It reminds me of Char's Counterattack. Good action and even story up to the "magic" finale. I guess they had to continue the gundam history of "meh?" endings. Hell, the anime history of "meh?" endings.

Re: The 00 Gundam Model Kits

The articulation and general designs of the 1st season 00 NG 1/100 kits are really good. The NG Exia and Astrea stand up pretty nicely to the MG Exia, and are definitely more sturdy. The 2nd season kits are a bit odd with the solid torso block. Even though the waist articulation is gone, the upper t...

Re: Latest Gundam/Mecha Merchandise thread (2008-2010)

Just finished both MG Wing TV ver and Deathsythe. Having put together these and the MG V (give my money back bandai), I really dislike the swappable fingers. They're just a weak point to the kits holding their weapons, unless you want to glue the set you prefer. Oh, and my PG Strike Freedom arrived ...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors X

There should have been all the Gundams in 1/100 plus a trans-am recolor of Qant at least by now. This is bandai after all. And UC series haven't had a non-MG 1/100 treatment in years. I just don't see what the problem with this is. non-MG 1/00's tend to cut all kinds of corners. Why worry about the...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors X

The lack of 1/100 is not strange. Unicorn doesn't have 1/100 NGs either. If Bandai believes it's not viable to have a 1/100 NG line, they will skip to the MG. There should have been all the Gundams in 1/100 plus a trans-am recolor of Qant at least by now. This is bandai after all. And UC series hav...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors X

So instead of finally coming out with the missing 1/100s for the 00 movie, Bandai rehashes the 1/144s in transparent. The lack of 1/100s is really strange.

Re: Latest Gundam/Mecha Merchandise thread (2008-2010)

Received the MG QAN[T] yesterday. Already put it together. Much better than the MG Exia, and way more sturdy. Only issues I have with it is the ankle armor tends to pop off and the same with the mount holding the GN shield to the back of the suit. Nice kit all around, and I didn't get the feeling th...

I sure hope so
I second that. The MG Victory is such a step backwards as far as modern gunpla goes. It's one of the few gundam kits I wish I could get my money back on.

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors X

Yeah, the artwork for the new manga shows off the Ver Ka's dragon fang and it looks (IMO) way cooler than the version Altron had in Endless Waltz. Also, considering how easy it would be to turn these kits into the movie versions (hell, Heavyarms and Sandrock are pretty much recolors) I expect we'll...

Re: Latest Gundam/Mecha Merchandise thread (2008-2010)

I just finished a 23-hour marathon build of the Master Grade Ex-S Gundam model, and my fingers are SORE ! All in all the model is very sturdy and beefy, but due to its obvious hugeness, is quite difficult to pose. Also this is one big and mighty sumbitch! It outclasses every model I have by a mile....

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors IX

V Dash? i will pass. better to wait a few months after its release to see if they still have some trick up their sleeves. I see you're planning to wait for the release of V Dash HEXA, though I wonder if bandai would really go through the trouble of releasing a kit for it, especially when Victory is...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors IX

I find the 1/144 scale too annoying with the compromises like the overuse of stickers to make up for the lack of different colored parts. As to proportions, I have no idea what's wrong with bandai there.

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors IX

Where the hell are all the 1/100 00 kits? For season 2 we got the main cast and then....nothing. No Aheads, no Gadesa, no Reborns, nothing!. And now all these cool designs from the side stories in 1/144 only? Come on bandai...

Re: 1/60 Real Detail Gundam kits

I'm a big fan of 1/60 gundams, so I've gotten the RD kits. The Strike with all the striker packs is a good deal as the price is usually about $75. I consider the RD Strike Freedom with the lighting setup one of if not the crown jewel of my gunpla collection, next to the PG 00.
