Honestly, I just pitied him rather than hated him, if only because he reminds me so much of my younger brother.DuelGundam2099 wrote:Am I the only person here that doesn't hate Katz?

Re: Cima Special
And to be fair, mass-murdering entire colonies with gas was unprecedented before those opening days of the war. I wouldn't be surprised if most people hadn't even imagined doing such a thing as a war measure. It's the kind of thing that would only seem obvious in hindsight.

Oh wow, so they really were, at least initially, a stopgap measure then? Did any previous publications suggest that or is MSV-R the first one to explicitly state it?

Re: When did the first Balls appear in the One Year War?
I do know that converting a work pod into a mobile pod was definitely a stopgap measure against the Zakus... This is a fairly common misconception for some reason. The Ball was always meant as a complement to the GM, not as some stopgap to buy time for their production. That's why, as per Red's ana...

If you're specifically talking about Haman in her Qubeley and excluding various Purus and clones in other Qubeleys, then the last 2-3 episodes are the only ones where you get Haman out there in that.

Re: UC 0079 Print Chronology Project, part 2
It's extremely rare for any Gundam story or production to mention anything more specific than a date. Almost none of them get as particular as time of day. Most of the time, especially when it comes to obscure side stories like these, you're not getting anything more than "sometime in [month]&q...

Guys, we already have a current thread that's derailed into a discussion of the merits and crimes of Zeon. Let's not have two simultaneous retreads of this ancient topic, especially since this thread was going so well with the intended subject matter.

We've seen states like Switzerland function just fine without a military... Switzerland has, and has always had, a military. A very active one, too. When I lived there, in a picturesque European countryside, it wasn't unusual to hear the rattle of rifles and heavy vehicle driving around off in the ...

Re: NEW RPG THREAD DISCUSSION
Agreed. I'm also interested in seeing a players-vs-GM game, just wondering if that was Arbiter's vision for that particular RPG. It's hard for me to keep up with just TftF alone, though, so I'm not sure I'll be able to participate in a second RPG in the near future.

Arbiter, do you think the 106th fleet idea would work out as player-vs-player or players-vs-GM?

The vulcan-firing happens in the first episode. He hijacks the Gundam and sprays a few bursts at the Titans officer, who was a jerk but still unarmed. It's been a few years since I've seen Zeta, though, so I don't remember when Kamille gut-punched a lady.

Re: Canon Side Stories-Gundam
I figured the view of the Japanese fandom is more sensible, since it's a recognition that we're dealing with fiction, after all. Note that Western fans often ask continuity questions with wording such as "what really/truly happened?", like Gundam is a series of historical documentaries ref...

Re: Canon Side Stories-Gundam
One can always compile their own preferred set of canon works, as long as they don't contradict each other. That's what I do, actually, and it's what I'd always presumed was the obvious main strength of having no rigidly established continuity. Everyone can pick and choose whichever productions and...
