Re: AoZ2: Rebels Against Time Mechanics

In other words, it uses leftover parts from the Gundam Development Project maybe i missed it Mark, but which chapter or mecha profile has this information? -- Henning I would hazzard a guess that this isn't legitimately printed information, but more of Mark knowing his way around the Gundam block. ...

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

Just rewatched some of Igloo myself. My bad there. They even have a Zaku I at the Depot that gets raided as a sign of the times. At that point, even if the re-evaluation went well, they probably didn't even intend to use the Hildolfr design other than to put a dent in the stalemate in their favor.

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

I didin't think the stalemate had hit them at that point in the war. If the Federation was using stolen Zakus and relying on stolen goods from Zeon supply depots, that would give me the impression that things were going well for Zeon.

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

Ohh, so I interpreted that wrong. So there really wasn't a point to the second test then. I would imagine that the machine was largely unchanged between those two evaluations. The report that the 603rd gave was favorable for the Hildolfr. Did they happen to mention why it was rejected again?

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

So the developers made the change to the Hildolfr in order to get it re-evaluated in order for it to go into production... make it capable of fighting other Mobile Suits and not just a huge long-range weapons platform. Seemed like a desperate move, especially considering the outcome of the re-evalua...

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

Geoxile. they sent the machine on a suicide run long after the suit was in development. I don't think he's questioning why they did that. The question is asking why develop it to begin with. It wasn't desigend for a suicide mission. That's just how it happened to be used when we saw it in 0079. By t...

Re: 10 August 2010: Britannia invades Japan

Ahh the side-effects of forshadowing in our own timeline. It's a good thing 00's writers jumped so ridiculously far ahead in the future... they're not due for hundreds of years for that stuff to be disproven. As if an Anime would prove anything to begin with!

Re: Hildolfr, was it practical?

Looking at the Timeline, the Hildolfr doesn't really seem to be connected to any political or military movement. It's construction began in 0072, kind of a quiet time in Mobile Suit history since true mobile suits didn't exist yet. However it features many aspects that would lead to a mobile suit be...

Re: Borneo Landing Operation

Thanks, Mark, for the info! I don't mean to Necro this, but now it's got me thinking again.

Do they say whether it was successful or not? Or do they just speak of the plans for it and don't delve into the events that unfolded there?

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors IX

that makes 6 kits of the 00 gundam now (or is it 7? i'm losing track) I'll take 6 kits of the 00 Gundam over the countless versions of the RX-78 any day! HGUC Gouf Custom is nice, but has all the 08th MS Team folks guessing again when they'll get an Ez-8, GM Ground Type, and so on and so forth. The...

Re: Borneo Landing Operation

Thanks for the clarification.

Is there really no more information on this out there? Did they just bring it up in FMS with no backstory to it at all?

Other than designs in Medarot and Gundam-related stuff, has Kenki Fujioka done work on any other mecha anime?

Borneo Landing Operation

I'm looking for as much information regarding the Borneo Landing Operation, as referenced in the Fukuchi Mobilesuit Station. The only other information I've been able to find outside of FMS is a possible link in Mark's UC Timeline. U.C. 0079.03.18 The Principality's Philippine forces advance southwe...

Re: Best sites to buy Gunpla/MSiA / information

I've been a big fan of buying from GundamStoreAndMore for a long while now. They've been excellent with Shipping Time, Prices, and selection. My only complaint is that it takes them a long time to get newly released Gunpla (personally, I'm waiting for the Zaku II F2 HGUC kits). Is there a better pla...

Re: Got my first Fix Figuration!

Also watch out for the Zeta Plus/Hummingbird one (a friend of mine has it and it's a troublesome beast) Scales and all that will be off but I've found the main thing with posing GFF with MSiA has been the level of detail. GFF puts MSiA to bed in terms of detail, so it looks a little odd having both ...

Space Debris Defense?

I've been wondering, in the Gundam Universe what sort of defenses to the space colonies have against micrometeroids and space debris? Is any information detailed about this?

There's a few in this collection but I know there's a link somewhere to a whole gallery of them. They're just smaller than the resolutions on the link I provided.

Multiple Powered GMs

For anyone who watched 0083 it was no secret that there the Powered GM that was used to test the thrusters to be used later on the GP-01 was not the only one of it's kind. After the attack on the Torrington base, we see a second Powered GM destroyed amongst the wrecked GMs lying around the base. Thi...

Re: What's Your Avatar, Mk. III

Used the cover aworkrt of the Advance of Zeta photonovel installments that were compiled into text novels. The left half is the RX-121-1 TR-1 Hazel Custom in Titans Blue while the right half is the RX-124 TR-6 Woundwort in white. Made for a neat avatar and I've been using it for awhile now. Long Liv...

Re: M353A4 Bloodhound

That all makes sense, but I'm curious as to the functions of the Bloodhound type. Is it just a Type 74 with recon equipment sitting in the back or is it more integrated than that? Does the new equipment have any special notable features? I mean, the HoverTruck already has monitoring equipment. What'...
