Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

It was great to see Orga lash out at McGillis for his reckless disregard of Tekkadan however I don't think it phased McGillis much since Orga immediately reaffirmed his loyalty to the mission

McGillis will undoubtedly take advantage of Orga and Tekkadan again even if they make it through this battle

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II

Perhaps McGillis closed the doors for the vaults when the Mika and Vidar started to battle

It's interesting that the Baklazan hangar is open. Has it been revealed in the IBO manga?

Also, was a family responsible for Bael or was it left in the center of the vault due to its leadership role?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II

Interesting to see that Vidar can be so readily converted back to its original form as Kimaris. It does look like THIS Kimaris will have some different equipment from its previous forms though It appears that Bael having a soul may indeed be true hence why others were rejected. This adds yet another...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II

Iok chose not to revert the bridge to "combat mode" as a show of strength (and his own arrogance) so it's likely that all modern military ships are capable of a combat mode bridge Why do they even have exposed bridges in the first place? Perhaps it's a throwback to the captain and crew wan...

Not sure what you mean. It clearly showed that he connects with Ein via an implant in the back of his neck

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

Mika sees himself as a weapon....more specifically Orga's weapon (though he did ask McGillis for permission - but that was after Orga gave him an order to standby) There's NOTHING in Mika's character that would point to him not wanting to pilot the Gundam. Losing Biscuit and Naze's crew didn't faze ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

I'm glad to see them finally reveal Vidar-Eins. It was so obvious to me. I chuckle when I remember so many doubting it. It's interesting that Ein only remains as AI so he is effectively "dead". I was half-expecting some crazy psycho-babble from when he was in his previous machine. Both Gae...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

As for Juletta, I got chills when that mechanic started talking about the AV system, or worse, Einification. She went from an unnamed cardboard cuttout into something very frightening. So the engineers of Gjallarhorn, or her specifically, are aware of the AV research. I think this is a key piece to...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

As mentioned before, Lok/Iok has gone past the point of redemption. He deserves a nasty death - hopefully at the hands of Orga and not Mika. I suspect that Iok is dangerous enough that he will also reveal his own Gundam now that his old mecha is out of commission - and the Kujan Family is all about ...

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

There are some gameplay videos from the Taipei Game Show 2017. The below video includes battles with the Zeta, Kyrios and Graham's Flag! The game looks extremely beautiful!

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

The series is only half-way through the season. Lots of room to maneuver to a conclusion When they refer to the "third lobe" created during the AV sync, it's possible that the Gundam is "taking" the pilot's brain and using it as some form of AI. That would explain why Mika regain...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

Taking Moon Steel into account, Argi Mirage can use AV by connect through his prosthetic arm, although it can't be compared to actual AV implant. Interesting. It does give McGillis other options to interface with Bael I would find it interesting if he does get AV and even suffered for it. It would ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

It seems like Iok will cause even more trouble with his meddling and foolish pride I accept that McGillis may not get (or have) AV surgery but he's no doubt been hesitant about doing something that he now intends to fully pursue. Remember that this is the guy who had no problem sacrificing two of hi...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

With McGillis preparing to unveil his own Gundam, I wouldn't be surprised if he also had the AV surgery as a young boy considering how much he worships/researched the Calamity War and legends of the Gundam pilots and viewed them as inspiration for a better world Did anyone notice that Mika was able ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

It's indeed sad to see what is happening to Mika. I wonder if they'll find a way to reverse the effects? Surely they can't risk the same thing happening to Akihiro. It's possible that Mika will get some form of upgrade when Barbatos gets fixed (and another possible refit? - with a bigger sword?) I'm...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

Has it been established what makes a Gundam a "Gundam" in IBO? Is it just the frame or is also the AV system incorporated into it?

I'm wondering if the Vidar Gundam (and Kimaris) has a AV system like Barbatos and Gusion?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

Is the "Helmwige Reincar" a Gundam frame to be able to use that HUGE blade? I'm curious to know where the Grimgerde is being kept and if it (or parts of it) were used to build the "Helmwige"? No. It's a Valkyrie-Frame - you can tell if you look closely at the few visible bits of...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Very interesting episode and IBO continues to set itself apart from other Gundam shows with AI and mobile armours running amok! I was quite scared when the mobile armour activated. I don't think Iok will be getting out of this easily. I was also surprised that Mika "sensed" the incoming MS...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

We'll see but just like the signs that "Mask" is Galileo there are also signs that Ein still exists in some form or fashion Clever, very clever choice of words. So even if he's truly gone, you can still claim you're right since "exist in memory" is still a form or fashion. :| If...
