Re: Magnet Coating Details

I'm pretty sure that those snipers you mentioned only had magnetic joints for their legs because, as snipers, they won't be flailing their arms around as much. That's how I make sense of it, anyway. =3

Re: Gundam Wing Blu-ray Collection w/ New Extras!

That's great to hear, 'cause the half-melted V-fin looked a little unusual.

Also, Amuro, do you mind if I ask what beef you have with the Shenlong? =p

Re: Mission Accepted- Gundam Wing Rewatch

This is my favorite piece from the soundtrack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctdBSPW_uEs It just works beautifully well for the show's atmosphere. I think alot of Heero backlash is because of the attitudes when the show was on the air. There was an awful lot of "Heero is the perfect soldier!&q...

Re: Mission Accepted- Gundam Wing Rewatch

That's the longest Gundam Wing essay ever!! :0 I just added in a point I had forgotten. Now it's even longer! >,< And also, forgive me if I sound insulting, but you sounded like someone who has a preference for Gundam Wing over others. It doesn't sound that way, so I take no insult from it. =o Don'...

Re: Mission Accepted- Gundam Wing Rewatch

(Oh no, it's Seraphic! Run!!) I don't really get these "Zechs = cliff notes Char" comparisons. These characters are written in completely different contexts. Char's character changes to suit the needs of the individual show/movie he is in. He just does everything to serve himself, and it'...

Re: stunning MS and stopping power

I am NOT asking about game mechanics.

This is a physics discussion.

"IS a mobile suit too massive to knock over or stun with a bazooka?"

stunning MS and stopping power

I finally remember what I wanted to ask about!! So, a bit of a controversy came up a few months ago due to some of the gameplay mechanics in Gundam: Battle Operation. In the game, bazookas, rockets, and cannon shells stun mobile suits when landing a blow. Beam rifles will also do the same thing with...

trigger mechanisms for MS guns

I was curious to discuss different kinds of triggers for handheld mobile suit guns. I know there are at least several types: -traditional trigger (like on human weapons) -wire/handplug -short-range wireless Specifically, I am wondering which relays the fire command fastest, which is most reliable, a...

Gundam battle operation is getting a vita app, thats out now. Does anyone know what it does? http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/02/namco-bandai-makes-mobile-suit-gundam-battle-operation-app-for-vita/ It lets you view your MS and their current setups, though you can't change anything. Wing and Wing Zero EW differences?

This might be a really stupid question coming from me of all people, but now that the Wing Gundam ver. Ka and the Wing Zero EW are the official designs, I was wondering if they even had a real difference in their frame performance? For the TV versions, the Wing and WZ had differing frames/armor and ...

Re: 880mm!? AKA Xeno's questions on calibers

I want to remind everyone that 880mm is actually not all that large. It's actually a round that is 2.88 feet wide. That's probably less than half the width of a mobile suit's hand. It would make sense for a bazooka that's designed to hit 60+ ft tall MS to be about this size, yes? Also, the Germans h...

Re: Wire-guided remote weapons question

I'm fairly sure funnels are supposed to be controlled with psychowaves and not your regular old EM waves. That's why they can be controlled wirelessly in the middle of Minovsky interference, since the particles don't jam psychowaves. Remember how Lalah sniped out those battleships waaaay in the dist...

Thanks, Strike. =) Sorry about not being around to reply. Okay, so here is some new lineart. I shouldn't have to congratulate you on your spelling and grammar, but it's kind of an issue around this forum if you get my drift. >,>; There were a few comma s...

Gundam Wing: dub/sub comparison and further thoughts

Hi. I can't sleep, so here's this: A little while ago I was able to finish my viewing of Gundam Wing in subtitles. I saw both strengths and weaknesses in both the dub and sub, and I will discuss that here. I know there is another thread discussing sub/dubs, but I intend for this to be a more encompa...
