Hah, the international site don't mention the Philippines, probably because the list would get too long.

I do think it's time to scrap NASA and hand over space-related exploration and science to the private sector; they will do it much more effectively and with an eye towards making profit based on actual existing needs and wants rather than having to be dependent on a federal budget. To date, there h...

IMHO, the given options are flawed & biased from the beginning--the way you word it, the choice of leaving the Earth immediately sounds like a negative one, especially since there won't be that many people willing to pore over the log & all the ZOINKS. Then again, the log's so full of genera...

Having read all four books & watched both movies, IMHO, 2061 & 3001 were too short & not as fun as 2001 & 2010. Any 2001 fan should also read 'The Lost Worlds of 2001', wherein Clarke collects prior stories & concepts which eventually evolves into 2001. It also includes some insi...

As I understand it, 'Clean-up' usually means making the original design more animation-friendly; some details are simplified, etc.

Among other things, you might want to Google for designs from Dream Pod 9's Gear Krieg alternate history game setting.

Sounds resonable, too bad this website pretty much makes that idea completely useless in Hard Sci-Fi and real world physics: Link It's not a useless idea. Ken Burnside et.al. talks about passive detection of high-mass space vessels (in relation to mobile suits) using exhaust plumes and thermal radi...

Maybe they should incorporate carbon fiber? Isn't that sort of redundant with Minovsky Particles, N-Jammers, and what nots? Well, not really. Since it is an intrinsic property of the material, it will be functioning all the time, unlike Minovsky jamming, N-J's, etc. which require some sort of equip...

I don't remember where I read it, but wouldn't black mobile suits absorb a lot more solar radiation? Or is that not a bad thing? That's actually a good point. Since radiation is the only way to get rid of heat in a vacuum, a black mobile suit with a matte finish would heat up faster from the sun's ...

i didnt think that the recoil of an aircraft mounted gun could overwhelm the power of the thrust in order to mess up its heading. i just know that aircraft gatlings as powerful as they are can be wildly inaccurate but its not the gun's fault most of the time since they are shooting against tremendo...

Re: Not explosive rounds. Maybe centrifical firing mechanism

Now if the case should be that the EFSF and Zeon MS Space Corps did in fact issue explosive based sidearms for their pilots they would have to under go unimaginably rigorous training just to be able to fire a bullet and not spiral out of control. etc. Open to any critic Oh, boy. Too many popular no...

Not exactly sure what you mean by heat regulation, but I'll assume you meant thermal shock. Not just that, but, especially for automatic weapons, fewer rounds can be fired in a given period of time before the firing chamber reaches cook-off temperatures as the heat from combustion can only be dispe...

Reading this brought Kipling's "Cold Iron" to mind:

"Gold is for the mistress -- silver for the maid --

Copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade."

"Good!" said the Baron, sitting in his hall,

"But Iron -- Cold Iron -- is master of them all."
