Re: Random Mecha/Anime Image Thread, 9th Issue

It's a play on the events of Ep33 where Kio uses his X-Rounder senses to find one of the bombs. Here, he does so...and misses the bomb, but uncovers Flit's secret shrine to Yurin, complete with Yurin plushies (or are they actually clones of her?) and 'All Vagans Must Be Exterminated!' slogan posters...

Re: NEW RPG THREAD DISCUSSION

Working on the official submission right now but here's a teaser: So the Zeons are treated/shown to be Nazis in the UC metaverse. But what IF they WERE the Nazis? What if WWII ended differently? What if Nikola Tesla succeeded at Wardencliffe? What if the Aryans that were so worshiped by the Nazi re...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

Well, looks like Wootbit's become popular for someone who's got less screentime than a dead girl (Lu). flashbacks included of course.
Damnit, man, I was having pizza! Nearly snorted cheese up my nose laughing...

You, sir, just plain win.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

the fact that Kio looks so much like Romary meant that the AsemuXArisa ship, to continue the nautical metaphor, was never seaworthy to begin with and was scrapped when only the keel had been laid in the drydock. Wootbit doesn't really make sense as a ship-sinker because there really wasn't a ship t...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

As to the ship-sinking allegation. The problem with that is that it assumes the show considered Arisa as having a serious chance with Asemu. Looking at it again, that's more fan wishful thinking. Yeah, she does more with Asemu than Max and Obright do, but that's because a) They only got 15~ episode...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

Wootbit appears very briefly every so often to remind us that the Gunhale bloodline continues to exist, but yeah, he doesn't really do anything. *sigh* Shouldn't be surprised. That's why I don't have much love for Wootbit, to be honest: It seems to me his sole existence is plainly for Level-5 to al...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

Speaking of 4ch, someone said this: Is Wootbit even still in the series? I thought he was being slotted in as Kio's co-pilot who brings in the armor-up replacements (a standard Gundam character role in 0079-ZZ) after that one episode... but we've barely seen him since. I actually want to ask this as...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7

For some reason i really hope he sings a Jazz remix "WE ARE BISIDIAN! BISIDIAN PIRATES!!!" ...sorry, couldn't resist. :P Emily will sing 'Lucky Silver Medal'. Ha. Will that be the day. That's doubly funny because that reminds me of an image someone posted on 4ch quite some time ago, with eld...

Re: NEW RPG THREAD DISCUSSION

Essentially the same concept as in AGE. One basically follows the story of a world through several different eras passing focus from parent to child. Yes that would be possible. Check out rule 9. It would take a tremendous amount of planning though. And as long as you don't pre-plan out the progeny...

Re: Stuff You Can't Believe You Just Figured Out

One of the BGMs from the 1991 Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory was actually taken and/or remixed from a Western movie from 1987: Death Wish 4: The Crackdown . When I saw the latter on AMC, I had to squint my ears...and then I LOL'd when I recognized it. And just thought I'd throw this out th...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Amusingly, if the translations on the audio dramas are any indication, Asemu apparently isn't Arisa's type at all. The chemistry people are seeing in the sibling is more like brother-sister than romantic. Hmm...now I'm curious. 8) What *is* Arisa's type? (Or do you know?) And does Arisa actually sh...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

-Fans start watching Asemu's arc -Romary shows up -Her hair looks like Kio's therefore it is logical they will have him with her genes being dominant -Everyone waits for the inevitable romance development -I find her ugly, I make a mean comment, blah blah blah -No development -Arisa shows up -A fri...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Asemu had real chemistry with Arisa and instead he chooses Romary. It annoys me that for a show which should really have believable romance as a priority (we're talking about a show where Gundam pilots get old and start families), AGE instead opts to treat things as a forgone conclusion. I was real...

Re: Gundam Unicorn Novel Ending

Well, it'd kind of hard for those groups to keep going. You're steadily running out of OYW vets and old Zeon hardliners (Or more properly, Zabi supporters, since most of the holdouts seemed tied to them in one way or another) keeping the cause going, and then I'd imagine the RoZ (Who are Anti-Zabi ...

he is then taken even further into the future, one in which humanity has moved beyond the Solar System and colonized other parts of the Galaxy (implying Macross? LOL). I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually a reference to certain Yuichi Hasegawa manga side stories where an aged Judau Ashta/Grey S...
