"Speed" as it's known inside an atmosphere is a fairly useless concept in space. Every unit seen in Episode 10 was going fast enough to maintain orbit around the planet, no mean feat. How quickly they approached or ran away from enemies then mostly means they had enough lead time to accel...

I think it's refreshing having a director new to the franchise, personally. 00 has huuuuge potential (for me personally) so far, I really want to see where they take it. You'll probably see many more directors new to Gundam coming to Gundam in the years to come. That's is how Bandai keeps Gundam fr...

The shields are designed to withstand various amounts of ordnance. That's why they do not appear to receive that much damage.

If they applied the same amount of armor on the shield to the MS, you have a weight problem. MS thrusters can only lift so much weight before they need assistance.

I don't understand aesthetically how anyone can think the GNY-004 and the GN-004 look related at all... the two units have no design concepts in common. Its hard for me to stomach the fact that the GNY-004 made way for the GN-004. I was fine accepting that the Plutone Prototype was failed so they d...

Moving away from the Virtue discussion, I was interested to note a simple cameo that was barely given much notice due to camera angles. Namely, a potential Union Space Flag? Are you sure it's just not a regular Flag with the wings and engines folded down? You can do that with the HG model. http://d...

Sorry, but that's wrong. Allow me to point out the GINN's monstrously huge heavy ion cannon, or the beam cannons of the Nazca- and Laurasia-class ships. ZAFT could make beam weapons just fine. What they lacked was the ability to create truly portable handheld beam weapons for mobile suits - and tha...

Well, Dynames' right leg was missing armor and the left leg, below the knee, was completely missing. At least we know Lockon can improvise.

Japanese manga is usually translated into chinese. This has been around for...40+? years. I've did read Doramon when I was in pre school. Other reason is that it's eaier for asian to accept Japanese culture. And there is the geographic location. *snip* For anime to be popular in Western contries, I...

So it's a Wiki article based on another Wiki article... Yeh, I would be skeptical about that myself.

One should remember that when a series airs on TV in Japan, it airs with commercials. What we see when we download a show (and not just anime, even North American series) is a edited version with the commercials cut out. In otherwords, someone TiVO'd it. So saying it levels the playing field is bogu...

Another Gundam security update: Besides the face scan and voice recognition system, did anyone else notice that Setsuna's combat suit connects to the cockpit at the back? Not only that, but Setsuna is able to activate the Exia from a wireless feed AND use a cloaking device to hide it. While Exia ma...

PGs are not money makers since they cater to a certain group of builders/collectors. They just can't make any model into a PG if it doesn't sell. If it doesn't sell, then that's a lot of time wasted into R&D for the kit. Considering these kits sell for $200+ a kit, it's in Bandai's best interest...

I just think it's wrong to elaborate on an anime within a "History Of Anime" entry. You're describing the history of anime, not any particular one. Hence, the information should relate to the subject at hand and not offshoot into elaboration on a part of the whole. That's very true. In an...

As always, this is just one of many inherited problems of Wikipedia. If a reference is misinterpreted or if an opinion article or blog is taken as fact, then the article needs to be corrected.

cantfakethefunk wrote:Wasn't it said that the civilian casualties / damage were due to simple collateral? Like one of the flying AEU MS getting shot down and crashing?
It's not clearly stated. But from the looks of it, most of it was collateral damage. Falling MSs, stray ordnance, etc.

is it just me or did the virtue's quad shoulder cannons seem to give a lil more oompf than its main BFG? at least animated it looked that way. and i second the praise on the dynames with its sniper/pistol double shooting. very john woo hehe The spread of Virtue's shoulder cannons is a bit wider tha...

Nope, the Akatsuki came later. It's based on the Strike Gundam, and it was only completed in the gap between the ending of Gundam Seed and the start of Gundam Seed Destiny. Anyway, it seems obvious that there's no connection between phase shift armor and the Akatsuki's mirror coating. Phase shift a...

Judging by the damage to the Exia we see in the Preview (Exia's left arm gone) i'm hoping to see the Celestial Being's morale crushed . Hopefully the PMC or AEU is smart enough to grab the Exia's severed arm. Someone on another forum noted that his forearm is still there. And I watched it again and...

You guys think there will be a new starting after the first 25 episodes ? I really liked how in episode 6 it showed alternate colors for some of the mobile suits and more of the weaponry from the 4 Gundams. Don't know. It really depends on how they plan to end the season. They could end the season ...

That arm better have a self-destruct or someone might just get access to some shiny new tech.
