Re: Dijeh ground only MS?
Yes, as far as can be ascertained the "normal" MSK-008 has always been a ground only mobile suit - after all, Karaba, i.e. the group for whch it was developed, operates only on Earth. Nevertheless, some modified space variants have appeared here and there, starting from the one depicted in...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
As seen for instance in the original Blue Destiny manga those bars are very useful for the airborne transport inside Medea and / or Gunperry.Anyone here know the purpose of the bars on the shoulders of the Gundam Ground Type/Local Type?

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
As far as I can say, yes, the spacecraft you're refering to are the same model.
On a slightly unrelated note, my previous statement on a possible connection of that "new" Salamis variant with a ship from Ixtab turned out to be wrong (a memory fault!)...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
Yep, it's clearly a variant of the Salamis, but to my knowledge it's still unnamed. Its color scheme reminds me the MSV-R depiction of the Nelson class , but I'm rather sure that the aspect of the bow with that twin "muzzle thing" is taken from a ship seen at the beginning of the manga Mob...

Re: [Ship Mystery] - Biscay-class Transport
Interesting suggestion, but if this is the site you're referring to, I'm afraid it mixes info actually published on books (or other reference material, also quite obscure... see for instance teh Garonne ship, directly taken from the Z Gundam gamebooks) with fan-made speculations, and as far as I can...

Re: A bunch of assorted Gundam UC questions
Admiral Clemmens (Usually Official C) also shows up, but I can't recall if the date of his arrival matches that from CDA... I've just checked, and times seem quite fine: the 0083 scenes in which he's seen are most probably set in November 0083 (at least, tehy're at the beginning of the episode wher...

Re: A bunch of assorted Gundam UC questions
On that note... was that guy with the mustache in Ep 11 the same Captain from Zeta that Scirocco throws around? Yes, albeit on the 0083 materials he's usually referred to as "high officer D" (or msomething like that), this is clearly Ted Ayachi, who in Zeta will command the Alexandria cla...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
I think the combination of that crest + the black coloring is a sort of trademark for Kycilia's corps, since the Zaku IIs Erisie was initially recalling are actually seen in volume 23 of the manga, inside A Baoa Qu fortress during the "civil war" scenes between Kycilia loyalists and the pr...

Re: Neo Zeon MS use by EFSF? (Also, Hyaku Shiki question)
Interesting question. The first examples that come int my mind right now are the AMX-101 and AMX-10K deployed by the Raven Squad in the recent manga Mobile Suit Gundam U.C.0094: Across the Sky . These units - painted in the distinctive black coloring of the team - are used in a series of mock fights...

Re: TMS-007X Z Gustav
As said, the story is alternative compared to the originary one, so that many things are more or less completely changed. Just to name a few: - Kamille is enlisted in the AEUG from the very beginning; - Quattro is sided with the Titans, and pilots an RX-100 Hyaku Shiki (i.e. substantially identical ...

Re: TMS-007X Z Gustav
In a nutshell, the Z Gustav - a MS based on the data retrieved by the escaping Zeon forces from the RX-78-2 relic recovered at A Baoa Qu - is the Gundam of the "zeonified AEUG", as depicted by Kazuhisa Kondo in the manga Side Story of Gundam Zeta . Here the author provides his own alternat...

Re: MAN-08S Helios & Sand Angler class Fort Apache
the existence of the AMX-008M and MAN-08S-M would derive not he question of whether or not there's a dedicated ship for deploying these marine units, in which case I would like to assume that this blue Sand Angler class ship is the prime candidate for such role. Exactly: caption text of the Fort Ap...

Re: [Yatate Bunko] - Anaheim Laboratory Log
The idea seem nice. Of course, nothing completely new: after all, things like the M-MSV and MSV-R lines, as well as Kazuhisa Kondo's Anaheim Record manga (partly also Vanishing Machine ) share similar premises. The key image seem to suggest that they will chiefly focus on previously unpublished vari...

Re: G Reconguista MS/MA Based On Zeon Units
In my opinion - besides actual cameos as the museum relics or the wrecked MSM-07 - the most obvious descendant / reference to old Zeon MSs throughout the series is the Z'Goggy.

Yes, it seems that lacking a gunpla release there's no way to have "official" specs on the G-Rach... unless they will include them in the next edition of MS Encyclopedia  Judging from a few screenshots such as the following ones http://blog-imgs-74.fc2.com/r/e/c/recluse/201502285.jpg...

Re: Random Gundam Tech Tidbits
As far as I can read (and understand!), the caption of the Todesritter's hyper beam saber says more or less that these kind of large beam sabers - provided of increased power output - were produced within the project Z, and are used for instance by units as the Mk-V.
